I love it when the "unknowns" beat the top players in the world. I think it's great for tennis. Remember when Novak did it? Now he's in the top. Congrats to del Potro.

Man. I was all excited about a great US Open with Oudin and then she lost. I'm happy for Cljisters (sp) but I would have liked to have seen an American win the Open. Mens is just pathetic now. I can barely bring myself to watch it. Fed had a billion unforced errors. Wasn't himself. DP didn't win it, Fed lost it.

Deep Thoughts: FML

I figured Federer, owner of the U.S. Open, would take the final in straight sets. When I think of Federer, I think of the saying: "the relentless pursuit of perfection." And I want him not to deviate from that path. I want him to be perfect. I want him to be, without a doubt, the best tennis...

Aug. 12, 2009 was a bright, sunny Wednesday morning in Montreal. Since I worked at the Rogers Cup, I had access to the grounds and had specially requested Wednesday off so I could go check out all the players' practices. It was indeed a loaded schedule with the top 10 in action throughout the day.
