Rafael Nadal has reached the U.S. Open semifinals for the second year in a row by finishing a rain-interrupted victory over Fernando Gonzalez.
The No. 3-seeded Nadal - trying to complete a career Grand Slam - beat No. 11 Gonzalez 7-6 (4), 7-6 (2), 6-0 in a quarterfinal that began Thursday and ended Saturday.
