He had to fail in the previous three Wimbledon finals to Roger Federer before he could win here. He had to endure several rain delays. He was up two sets before losing two tiebreakers. He had to go up against history. Federer was on his way to winning a sixth straight Wimbledon title, this was a championship the Swiss Number One owned, and he probably felt more at home on Centre Court than he did at his home in Switzerland. Nadal was also trying to become the first person since Bjorn Borg in 1980 to win both Wimbledon and the French Open in the same year...

	Federer is far from done. That much is plainly clear from today's match.

	That match should become an instant classic on ESPN. Watching Federer save break point after break point in the fifth set shows why he's the best in the world, but Nadal could not be denied.

	No way Federer's done. He's definitely one of the greatest ever to play the sport and Nadal is the only one to EVER beat Federer in a final.

	I will say that his reign of dominance is clearly dead - but that is solely by virtue of Rafael Nadal's rise.

	Federer Rocks! He played his heart out, but Nadal was able to get to some shots that Federer wouldnt have gotten to. Great Match! Federer pulled through on some amazingly pressured points!

	Nadal only lost the last two finals to Federer (not three). Also, keep this in mind, Sampras won 7 of 8 during his run...

	I just don't think he'll win another major. This year's been WAY too close for him...then again...who else is really better on the hard court? It's playing even faster than the grass these days, plus it'll be later in the year when Rafa might be tired (since he plays many more tourneys than Feds)...WHO WILL WIN THE US?

	I don't think I recall seeing a better match played in a long time... I love to watch tennis with my brother and dad, and this was so intense they had to get up and leave the room a couple times. Emotionally and physically I think it brought both players to new heights.. an epic battle truly.
