PLAYERS: Serena Williams
Unlike her sister Venus, Serena Williams was able to defeat her 3rd round French Open opponent, but not without controversy, as outlined in the above video. A rough summary of the issue: Serena hit a ball directly at opponent Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez - mean, maybe, but legal. Said shot struck Martinez Sanchez in the arm, which, according to the rules of tennis, means Martinez Sanchez should’ve lost the point.

    I just couldn't believe she denied being hit. It's plain as day on the replay. Like SmoovArt said, she's gonna have a purple/blue/green reminder of that white lie this morning. C'mon, with Serena's guns? That girl could bruise bone.

      How is she not acting like a professional? They asked her about the play. She said her piece. Other than her arguing her CORRECT point of view to the chair ump, she didn't even get excitable about it. How is calling someone who tried to cheat a cheater, NOT being a professional??

    Serena isn't out of line at all!! It was so flagrant that the ball nailed that chick in the arm.....she should have had some class and admitted it. I think Serena has every right to be mad. I personally felt like she handled herself quite well considering the circumstances. It is a matter of FACT that Miss Sanchez did cheat!!!
