My thing is court officals are more assertive towards their calls now whether wrong or right they have an unfair effect on the match. Frustrations abound when that happens and anything can happen.

Serena went way overboard. Way way way overboard. Either she threatned the woman with death or violence. Which is wrong, no matter how wrong the call was or anything. You do not do that. She's lucky she's not being charged with something. Federer is something I can understand since the pressure he was facing was a lot more than what Serena was facing. #1 in the world, finals, 1 win away from tying an unbelievable record.

US Open: We didn’t expect Roger Federer, the 5-time defending US Open champ, to lose a set to Juan Martin del Potro in yesterday’s final. When they went into a 4th set tiebreak, we thought Federer had it in the bag. Even in the fifth set, down 5-2, we thought Federer could rally to victory. [...]

Federer needed only three sets to defeat Andy Murray last year.

Is Serena Williams the New Johnny Mac?
I'm upset that I didn't see the tennis match on Saturday, which was on rain delay so often in Flushing Meadows, NY, that I saw (between sleep and wake) USC true freshman quarterback Matt Barkley and company come from behind and beat Ohio State instead that night on ABC.
Normally, I'd be quick to defend Serena, but—like a male...
