Germany’s Florian Mayer hit an errant backhand during Saturday’s match with David Ferrer that a ball in the face. It appears to be the same ball boy who nearly got hit during Rodger Federer and Alexander Kudryavtsev match. A true pro indeed.

BEST OF MAXIM
They sure do make them tough in Australia! Florian Mayer was returning the serve of David Ferrer and it ended up clocking a poor ball kid right in the face. Ouch! He took it like a champ though because it what felt like a millisecond he bounced back like it didn't even happen. I'm gonna guess he has quite the nice shiner this morning though.
It was a tense moment, according to David Ferrer. That's why he shoved the line judge.
''It was nothing,'' the No. 3-ranked Ferrer said.
The incident occurred during Ferrer's quarterfinal loss to Thomas Berdych at the Australian Open on Tuesday. The Spaniard was two sets down and had just broken Berdych in the third set to take a 4-2 lead.
From Sunday’s David Ferrer-Florian Mayer match at the Australian Open comes this poor ball kid taking an absolute shot in the face on a Mayer return. Credit to the kid for staying in the match, because guaranteed that had to hurt like a ***********.
