Dominika Cibulkova gave Slovakia a 1-0 lead over Spain in their Fed Cup World Group playoff by beating Lourdes Dominguez-Lino in straight sets on Saturday. The 17th-ranked Cibulkova hit 24 winners - 17 with her powerful forehand - to defeat her Spanish rival 6-3, 6-0 on the outdoor clay court. Cibulkova claimed victory in just under one hour and 20 minutes with an unreachable forehand down the line. Slovakia's Daniela Hantuchova plays Spain's No. 1 Silvia Soler-Espinosa in Saturday's second singles match.
