Caroline Wozniacki, the world’s No. 10 tennis player, fueled speculation that she is engaged or even married to No. 1 golfer Rory McIlroy when she was spotted wearing what looked like an engagement ring and wedding band on her left hand when she arrived in Australia for a tennis tournament after the Christmas holiday.
McIlroy accompanied her on the trip. The two were seen together at the Queensland Tennis Centre as Wozniacki practiced for the Brisbane International.
Wozniacki, 22, denied rumors last month that she and McIlroy, 23, were engaged.
So far, she’s only talking about the tennis tournament.
“It’s a new year and all I want to do is my best and we’ll see what happens, Wozniacki said. “Obviously I want to go far here and to do that I have to play against the best.”
