From NESN.com:

Tournament organizers always ask fans to place their cell phones in silent mode at tennis matches and golf tournaments. Maybe they need to start reminding the players to silence their phones, too.

Alizé Cornet was competing in a first round match-up against Caroline Wozniacki at the Swedish Open and attempting to stay alive in the match. After losing the first set 6-4 and trailing in the second set 5-3, Cornet was about to try to fend off match point.

Then, a cell phone started ringing. A bewildered Wozniacki waited to serve before Cornet slowly realized it was actually her phone blaring from inside her tennis bag. A welcome distraction, maybe, as the 69th-ranked player in the world was able to prolong her match against world No. 1 Wozniacki.

Cornet ended up winning the game to stay alive, but ultimately Wozniacki finished her off, winning the match 6-4, 6-4.

The video is below, with a hat tip to Sports Illustrated's @SInow Twitter feed.

Bonus points if you can guess what kind of phone Cornet has.
