The U.S. Open has been going well so far this year, with none of the rainouts or other squawking that plagued previous years rearing their heads at Flushing Meadows.

The biggest news has perhaps been American star Andy Roddick announcing that this fortnight will be his final time on the tennis courts, followed closely by former champ Maria Sharapova confirming that her ring finger is indeed unencumbered these days.

But, of everyone enjoying the U.S. Open action, no one seems to have gotten into the fun more than an interloper at one of the early matches. A squirrel has continued the tradition of wild rodents enjoying sporting events, running on court during a match and stealing the show.
