Donay Meijer's ascension to the top of the tennis world hit a roadblock on Sunday night in Melbourne. The blonde, bombshell girlfriend of Bernard Tomic saw her quest to become the most famous WAG in sports temporarily derailed by Roger Federer, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2.
The match was one of the most heavily hyped thus far at the Australian Open. With thousands of fellow Aussies packed into Rod Laver Stadium to catch furtive glances at Meijer while she was shown on the videoboard, Federer reminded fans why he's the No. 1 player in the world. He put on a clinic in the fourth-round match, leaving Meijer defeated and screen-time-less.
The 21-year-old model/student burst onto the scene late last year when she coupled with Tomic and became a fixture at his matches.
