Pattaya, Feb. 11 -- Sania Mirza's campaign in the singles of the WTA Pattaya Open tennis ended on Friday with her 5-7, 3-6 quarterfinal defeat to Chinese Taipei qualifier Su-Wei Hsieh. The Indian, however, kept alive her title hopes by making the semifinals of the doubles. Sania, ranked 111, went down to talented Su-Wei in 80 minutes. But in the doubles, she paired with her Australian partner Anastasia Rodionova to beat local girls Varatchaya and Varunya Wongteanchai 6-4, 6-3 in the last-eight stage match. The top-seeded pair maintained their domination in the match. They now face third seeds Akgul Amanmuradova of Uzbekistan and Kimiko Date-Krumm of Japan.
