Australian Open 2012 Tennis Fashion Day 1: Fernando Verdasco
The first grand Slam of 2012 has started and while all the sports media review the successes and failures of the players, we continue to talk not only about the performance, but also about style.
One of the biggest surprises of the first day of Australian Open is perhaps the lost of Fernando Verdasco to a young and promising Canadian Bernard Tomic. 19-year old Bernard has just...

Australian Open Day 1: Too Much Electricity Not Enough Rainbows
Don't touch me I might shock youFashion #fail: Above was Fernando Verdasco's Adidas kit 'Electricity With High Energy'. I usually love Adidas outfits, but I think they needed to turn the energy down just a smidge.
Best quote about his oufit:
He's a man who's not uncomfortable with his looks. Any man who's prepared to be an underwear model is not...

Given center stage on the opening day of the Australian Open, the host country's best hope of a men's Grand Slam champion since Lleyton Hewitt, lost the first two sets to Fernando Verdasco on Rod Laver Arena.
The 19-year-old Tomic, though, kept plugging away and eventually won his first-round match 4-6, 6-7 (3), 6-4, 6...

The Match of the Day: Aussie Aussie Aussie
The draw for a major can be very cruel. It can produce gross mis-matches when a top ranked player plays someone outside the top 100. It can also provide very easy draws for a mid-level player who has to play a couple qualifiers to make it to the third round. For others, and today, Fernando Verdasco, it can be a killer. Seeded 22nd, he drew 35th ranked Australian favorite Bernard...

Fernando Verdasco Shocked By Milos Raonic
It came down to who could hold their serve and their nerves in the tie-breaks, and in the end newbie Milos Raonic was more poised than the veteran Fernando Verdasco and defeated him in straight sets 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (7-5) to win his first ATP title. Match point was a bit anti-climactic, due to an overzealous fan yelling "OUT" when Milos was serving, perhaps breaking Fer&...

PHOTO OP: Fernando Verdasco is shirtless again and we're all better for it
"I am chorizo, hear me roar."
Big ups to @julesdc for taking these glorious photos of shirtless brigade senior member Fernando Verdasco practicing for the Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington, D.C. You wanna know how sweet she is? @julesdc told me via Twitter that she thought of me, yes ME, while sneaking to his practice court and grabbing these shots of a sweaty, swarthy...

PHOTO OP: Fernando Verdasco sends his shirtless love from Las Vegas
Happy Monday! Just a couple of shots of a shirtless, glistening-in-the-sun Fernando Verdasco during a recent training stint with Gil Reyes in Las Vegas to kick-start your week and mine. I'll be joining my LP Kalil, who's flying down to Miami for work, later in the week and these pics are getting me in the right mood for a number of things having to do with sunbathing by the...
