Berdych, Simon reach Open Sud semis
Tomas Berdych finished off Nicolas Mahut of France with his 14th ace in a 6-3, 6-4 victory Friday to reach the semifinals of the Open Sud de France.
The top-seeded Czech outplayed Mahut in the first set, hitting 18 winners and making only two unforced errors.

Simon beats del Potro in third round of US Open
Gilles Simon beat 2009 champion Juan Martin del Potro in the third round of the U.S. Open on Sunday.
The 12th-seeded Simon rallied from a set down and won two tiebreakers in a 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-2, 7-6 (3) victory. The Frenchman fought off three straight set points in the fourth set to reach the round of 16 at Flushing Meadows for the first time.

Simon beats Youzhny in German Open semifinals
Gilles Simon rallied to beat Mikhail Youznhy of Russia 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 on Saturday to reach the German Open final.
The fifth-seeded Frenchman will be looking for his second title of the year when he plays Sunday against the winner of the other semifinal between Spaniards Fernando Verdasco and Nicolas Almagro.
