Robredo retires at Swedish Open
A left thigh injury forced fifth-seeded Tommy Robredo of Spain to retire in his first-round match Monday against Filippo Volandri in the Swedish Open.
The Italian won the first set 7-5 and the score was level at 5-5 in the second when the two-time Swedish Open champion called it quits.
Volandri will face Mikhail Kukushkin or Andreas Haider-Maurer in the second round.

I'm not sure what exactly happened here, but in the semi-finals of the Movistar Open, words were apparantly exchanged over the net between Fabio Fognini and Tommy Robredo. After Robredo defeated Fognini, he refused to shake his hand, and then Fognini called Robredo a "piece of ****." The crowd was clearly in Fognini's corner as they booed Robredo off the court...

Soderling, Robredo into Swedish Open quarters
Defending champion Tommy Robredo and Teimuraz Gabashvili won second-round matches in straight sets Wednesday to reach the quarterfinals at the Swedish Open.
Robredo, a Spaniard seeded third in the clay-court tournament, beat Peter Luczak of Australia 6-2, 6-3. Gabashvili, an unseeded Russian, defeated Bjorn Pau of Germany 6-3, 6-2.
Robredo is playing in Bastad for the ninth straight year.
