Janko Tipsarevic beat Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic to give Serbia a 1-0 lead in the final of the Team World Cup on Saturday.
The No. 8-ranked Tipsarevic snapped a three-match losing streak against the No. 7-ranked Berdych with the 7-5, 7-6 (8) victory in 1 hour and 57 minutes at the Rochus Club.

Tipsarevic defeats Prpic to give Serbia 1-0 lead
Janko Tipsarevic defeated Filip Prpic 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 Friday to give Serbia a 1-0 lead over Sweden in the first round of the Davis Cup.
The ninth-ranked Tipsarevic had 11 aces and converted four of five break points, while Prpic failed to use any of the five chances he had for a break.
