What is the Yardbarker Network (YBN)?

The YB Network is a collection of sports blogs designed to benefit sports fans, bloggers, and advertisers.

Fans enjoy easier access to great sports blogs.
Bloggers get more promotion, traffic and revenue.
Advertisers reach a targeted demographic more effectively.

Does the YB Network include blogs for every sport?

If it is a sport, chances are we have a blog about it. We also have blogs about the business side of sports, too.

How do YB Network bloggers get more promotion, traffic and revenue?

More promotion: YB Network Roster spot, a YBN graphic alongside each Yardbarker post, and tools and widgets designed specifically to promote YB Network blogs.
Increased traffic: A YB Network headline widget appears on every YBN site and increases traffic throughout the network.
Maxium revenue: Our ad sales team gets better rates for YB Network blogs because we have hundreds of blogs in the network.

Why is YB Network advertising better?

Sports blogs are an appealing demographic for advertisers, but it is inefficient for them to work with each blogger individually. Because we have hundreds of blogs in our network, we are able to negotiate the best deals for sports bloggers. It's more efficient, effective and profitable for everyone.

Who is eligible for the YB Network?

Sports bloggers! The majority of your content must be about sports (i.e. at least half of your posts), and although you don't have to be a saint, you do have to avoid nudity and excessive profanity.

Who sells the ads?

We do. You don't have to do anything.

How much money will I make?

That depends on how many people visit your site (not how many people click on your ads). You are also allowed up to three ads per page, giving you the opportunity to triple your income.

When will I get paid?

Monthly if your account has earned at least $50 in that month. Otherwise your balance rolls into the next month until it reaches $50. There is a 30-day delay on payments. For example, your payment for the month of January will come in the first few days of March.

How will I get paid?

PayPal, bank transfer or check. It's your choice. We'll get an account set up for you with our partner, Adify, and they will manage the payment process.

How long does it take to join the YB Network?

The application takes only a few minutes, but it may take a few days for us to get back to you.

How do advertisements get on my site?

We will send you a piece of code to cut-and-paste into your site. After that, ads automatically run on your site in the space you choose. We sell the ads, and you reserve the right to approve them.

Am I allowed to have advertising besides YB Network ads?

Yes. You are allowed to run ads from other providers, but YBN ads must still receive prominent placement above the fold.
