In an exclusive prison interview granted to the Sportsman's Daily, disgraced sprinter Marion Jones spoke candidly of her ordeal and her hopes for a shortened sentence. Her mood was generally wistful and contrite, though when the issue of a Presidential commutation came up, she became defiant, vowing to take matters into her own hands if her request is turned down.

  • when asked did she use steriods, she defiantly said NO...now she wants to recieve a shorter prison sentence. Give me a break. she should be in prison for a couple of years. How do you think the other members of the 4x100 relay team feel ?????

Unfortunately, Birdman, being responsible for others having to give up their gold medals isn't really a criminal offense. And I would agree that her offense is punishable. And if a 6-month jail sentence is it, so be it. But let's dole out the lying/steroids punishment equally across all sports and all people. That's all I'm sayin'.

I think Marion was used to set an example, off topic, have you seen a photo of her lately??? should be a warning to kids about just sayin NO to the juice, geez looks like she has aged 20 years, guess that could be just from all the stress of her lying to the feds but wow

I feel for Marion, everybody makes mistakes in life, but while she was collecting all that free money under false pretencies, she was living high off the hog and cost not only hereself but her country shame. Marion needs to do the time and then she can start fresh and hopefully try to rebuild the trust and fans she once had. Marion can turn it around and be a positive model for future athletes it's all up to her. I will be praying that she does the right thing as well as some of these other athletes.
