I've decided to move my blogging here, why? Cause I'm not a regular on Myspace, I get bored easily, and I guess... like my life, It has this unwanted yet welcoming constant change, absolute no consistency, thank gawd I am a mutable Pisces and can handle and adapt to change.
So I didn't make the Olympic team, damn!
I've gone through many, many obstacles to try to make this happen. I will talk about that shit later, maybe!
Truth is, all athletes think we have this super human power type of ish.
So after my failure to make the Olympic team, and being named alternate, I didn't cry, only laughed at my superwoman expectations, Last Year I couldn't compete at USA Nationals, which was the team qualifier for world championships cause I was in a damn boot and crutches cause I broke my leg and ankle jumping in brazil after a long tedious rehab, I felt comfortable running back in Feb, jumping on it- now that's a different story. Lets just say I didn't! I felt that I gained my strength back in May! But because the long jump is a technical and precise event, my approach never recovered, not in enough time. Then 2 weeks before Olympic trials, I injured my shoulder. During trials I went through a rigorous treatment, downplaying the injury, tried to make it a non-issue. Finally getting the proper diagnosis after I returned which is a torn supraspinatus and a misplaced 1st rib! So I'm back in rehab NO, NO, NO!
So what am I doing with myself, besides rehab, playing with my 3 yr old GOD daughter, who just makes my day everyday, except when its her bedtime, she turns into a monster! But I live for the words that come out of her mouth, she is hilarious!
I'm working on a few projects and I'm reading, several books!
I am pissed I didn't make the Olympic team, so much so, that I retired, for like a week! I was happy and at peace with my "retirement" but everyone kept asking what was I doing, how was I doing? My reply, "I'm still retired". Most respected my choice, others said "I'll let you go through your funk, but know that I will not let you retire". Hell, I'm grown, I do what I want. LOL. Others just laughed with and at me, knowing my personality, but I will be watching:
Watching LOLO JONES and A. FELIX whoop arse!
Also I wanted to watch the USA WOMAN'S BASKETBALL TEAM do some damage!
