PLAYERS: Laura Bennett
Laura Bennett made the U.S. Olympic team with a third-place finish at the ITU World Triathlon San Diego. Her finish in 2 hours, 11 seconds was good enough to send her back to the Olympics, where she can try to improve on her fourth-place finish from the Beijing Games. Great Britain's Helen Jenkins won the 1,500-meter swim, 40-kilometer bike and 10-kilometer run in 1:58:20, and Australia's Erin Densham was second in 1:59:25. Bennett, from Boulder, Colo., will join Sarah Groff and Gwen Jorgenson in London. They both previously qualified for the U.S. team.
