Tiger's quest for a Grand Slam begins Thursday at the Masters. He has won all four majors successively (2000-2001) but never in the same calendar year. He obviously is the favorite, and if he wins this major he'll have 14 for his career, putting him four short of
Jack Nicklaus for the all-time record.
If Tiger succeeds in winning the Grand Slam, he'll be only one major behind Nicklaus, and unless he pulls a Barry Sanders, there is little doubt that Woods will eventually catch Nicklaus. The only question is, how many records will he set along the way, and how high will he raise the bar?
