The highlight of the All-Star weekend, the Celebrity game, was tonight. Too good to show up for the first half, Terrell Owens threw down 18 points in the second half (including a dunk). T.O. was aided by former NBA and CBA player and Rapper Master P with 17 points of his own. Even with the spastic play of Taylor Hicks, they managed to stay on top winning 51-50. It didn't hurt that the other team was void of talent.

That is no typo, the Minnesota Timberwolves have won two straight games. With Big Al and Marko "I got a Victoria's Secret" Jaric leading the charge, and Mark Madsen single handedly raising the energy level in the Target Center a few notches. The Wolves were able to upset the #1 team in the West again. With Chips-a-Foye's return and Theo Ratliff getting a brand new set of knees the Wolves may just eclipse the 10 win mark this year.

Look at him have a snowball fight with Donald Driver! No one has more fun on a football field than Brett. You can look forward to seeing this for the next 1-3 weeks of the playoff season. The forecast is for 4 degree weather this weekend in Green Bay, so be prepared for more HI-LARIOUS hijinks from Brett Favre and the rest of the Pack this weekend. Also I think younger Brett Favre just regains his footing instead of stumbling half way down the field and sidearming passes. Atari Bigby also makes a name for himself after delivering huge blows without getting pass interference calls all day. They should be well prepared for a New York Giants team that has a lot to prove, including Eli Manning's efforts to get out of his brothers shadow. Also of note, Aaron Rodgers played 2 minutes without injury, well done.

Hard times for Minnesota sports fans. The Vikings sputter to a mediocre finish, the Twins are dumping talent left and right, and our beloved T-Wolves are on pace to win 9 games this year. What if losing Torii Hunter does the same thing to the Twins? I guess there's always the Wild. Or Lacrosse, I think we did well in Lacrosse. I'll look that up.

Well, it looks like it's going to be some nasty weather tomorrow afternoon in Buffalo. The weather forecast calls for a mix of rain and snow with winds around 22 mph. It'll be a brisk afternoon, but they still anticipate upwards of 70,000 in attendance. The Sabres will be absent rising star Drew Stafford, but I believe they still have enough fire power to be competitive. They will stay in the game as long as Ryan Miller can put forth a solid performance. Miller has a career .921 save percentage against the Penguins with a respectable 2.15 goals against average. He put up a solid effort last Friday when the Sabres fell 2-0. If this team wants any chance of winning, I think everyone will be in agreement that they'll need a little more scoring. Thomas Vanek is the man in Buffalo now with this summer's exit of Drury and Briere. I think if he can put some points up on the board, Buffalo could win. The Penguins are a solid young team. Led by none other than the NHL's golden boy Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh is only 3 points out of first in the Atlantic division. This team will win if they just repeat what they did last Friday. In that case, they'll need another stellar goaltending effort. Personally, I trust Ty Conklin about as far as I could throw him. And since I'm not the burly type, I will assume that that isn't very far as should the rest of you. I think this game will be a bit more high scoring, so the young studs in Crosby, Malkin, and Staal need to bring their A games. Not that that is anything new, as they usually do. In the end, I think Crosby and his boys will be a little too much for the Sabres. As much as I like Ryan Miller, this is a more realistic look at the game. The Penguins may not have the most consistent netminder, but they do have a very consistent offense. And like the old adage says, the best defense is a good offense. Hope everyone is going to be turning in to the game tomorrow afternoon, it should be a good one. For those of you who don't know yet, it will be on NBC at 1pm EST, 12pm CST, 11am MST, 10am PST. If it's on in Hawai'i, it'll be at 8am. If anyone in Hawai'i is going to be up that early watching hockey, I would like to be your friend. That's all I have, hope everyone enjoys the game.

The NHL has planned another outdoor game New Year's Day when the Pittsburgh Penguins head to Buffalo to take on the Sabres. With success in the 2003 match between Montreal and Edmonton, this game has been hyped all season long and they're even going to air this one on NBC. I personally could do with more outdoor games. I think the idea is really awesome and I hope to one day be able to attend one. If the NHL really wants to expand interest, keep putting them in one of the biggest markets. Buffalo is just as crazy for their Sabres. This will be a packed stadium and everyone will be going nuts. And the fact that Sidney Crosby is playing is no coincidence. But, I would love to see more than one game a season. If you ask me, future locations should include St. Paul, Detroit, Vancouver, and Denver.

I love winter football. The season should moved back a month so that we can have more 8-0 games with the highlight reel including a set of 15 yard runs. Enough words that aren't lists, I've never felt that power ranks should be a list of teams by record, it should be my picks the win the superbowl, from the top down. 1)Browns(9-5) They were here last week and ugly wins are the best wins. 2)Jaguars (10-4) Fred Taylor got snubbed for the pro bowl only cause he splits time with Jones-Drew. They are 2nd in rushing yards and I wouldn't want to face them in the playoffs. 3)Packers(12-2) BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE 4)Cowboys (12-2) Tony Romo is a man on a mission to overcome his personal demons after last year, but I think he might get rattled in the post season again. 5)Vikings (8-6) You can't always tell which Vikings will show up for a game, but if it's the good ones they can be deadly 6)Patriots(14-0) I refuse to put them any higher than this. Showing signs of weakness against good teams and despite the fact I'd give them great odds to go 16-0 they can be beaten by other AFC teams in the playoff hunt. 7) Colts(12-2) They were rattled by their loss to the Patriots earlier this year but Peyton can lead this team back to the superbowl if they get healthy. 8) Chargers (9-5) Kicking the shit out of Detroit isn't that impressive but they are a good team. 9)Seahawks (9-5) Sweet Shaun has had an off year but I wouldn't count them out yet. 10) Dolphins (1-13) Number 10 sucks no matter who get puts here, the Dolphins get credit for finally winning a game. If they win two they will stay in this position for the rest of the year.

Six of them are starting and Viking Country is buzzing. The Vikings will be represented with 3 starters on each side of the ball. On the offensive side they will have the entire backfield with Adrian Peterson and Tony Richardson. Peterson is having a monster year if you haven't noticed, but what some people overlook is the Fullback that gives the Halfback some of those wide open gaps. Richardson has been a staple in Minnesota on and off the field since he came from Kansas City last year. Also starting will be Steve Hutchinson. One of the best Guards in the league, I doubt anyone is really going to argue with this one, either. On the defensive side of the ball they will be represented by the two big guys in the middle. Kevin and Pat Williams are one of, if not the best combos in the league. And on top of the run stopping ability, Kevin has a knack for finding the end zone for six. The other rep is Darren Sharper at safety. Sharper is one of the league premiere ball hawks in the league, and all of the sports broadcasters love to spout stats about how many picks he's had in the past few years. Any snubs from the Purple? Well, some have pointed out the lack of Center Matt Birk in the starting lineup. Birk is having another solid year and the evidence of his stellar play is shown partly in Adrian Peterson's big year. He'll be backing up Anthony Gurode, but I'd rather see him as a starter. Another slight snub would be the Punter Chris Kluwe. Kluwe may have deserved to go, but no one is really going to gripe about it. Except maybe his Mom. And lastly, special teams expert Heath Farwell was not selected. The man can flat out rock people on kick-offs but he gets no love. I will hold true to the fact that Brendon Ayanbadejo always gets picked mainly for the fact that his name is first on the special teams ballot.

Earlier today the Twins signed Adam Everett to a one year contract. Increasing the number of sub-par offense and slightly better than average fielding players to the Twins. Now Everett and Punto can have contests to see which one can tread along the .200 average line and still be an everyday player. You could say the Twins are avoiding any player that could possibly end up on the Mitchell Report.

It's that time of year again and that is the start of the Mock Draft season. In every draft I've seen, there it is at the top Darren McFadden to the Patriots. I don't think I could tolerate ESPN if that were to happen. It's bad enough that I have to hear about the Patriots every two seconds now, if they were to land DMC it would never end. Therefore, I propose that a petition be started that will not allow the Patriots to draft him. Friends don't let friends cheer for the Patriots. Side note: I don't want to hear any "You're just jealous of them." or "Don't hate because they're good." I'll be first to admit that they're good. That doesn't mean I have to like the smarmy assholes.

I'm not a fan of all the preseason rankings that put the T-Wolves as 30th in the NBA. Al Jefferson has been dominating and Chips-A-Foye will be back soon if they can pull him off the microphone and if he stops being so terrible at healing himself. I'm in favor of stem cell research so that players that hurt themselves in pre season practice can be healed at the expense of the unborn for my entertainment. Regardless I'm looking forward to the Wolves clawing their way up to, say, 25th in the NBA rankings yet this year. Look for their first winning streak this week as they play the Wizards minus Agent Zero, which honestly isn't that much to brag about but I'm at a point to take what I can get.
