The Niners have undoubtedly left the fans in the Bay scratching their heads with their play over the past few seasons, but is acquiring an aging receiver who has seen his best years, the answer to a team that is expected to be good to start and be great to finish? Many have tried the veteran trail , and may have failed, so what makes the Niners any different? Maybe they see the small picture.

Ray Ratto offers a great analysis of the question: Who is the greatest of all time? With Brett Farve caling it quits, he takes over as the subject of this debate after weeks of pondering Tom Brady's position on this list. What makes up the criteria for the greatest quarterbak of all time? Is it passing yards, touchdowns, or the all mighty Super Bowl ring? In the subjective world of team sports, the greatest individual is the one who does the most for the individual fan.

Many Warroirs fans were looking forward to the second half of the season. None of their core players got traded and the team seemed poised to begin the seond half strong. However with Andris Biedrins going down, the Warroirs needed to find someone to step up fast so they did not lose ground; but from where? The answer came last night. No, not in the throwback uniforms GS wore (although it brought back great memories), but in the form of an unlikely sub. If the Warriors can continue to have players step up, west beware.

The rumors are flying about a number of NFL stars during this period of time before the draft, but the biggest one has to be that Randy Moss could be in Dallas with T.O.! The presence of those two in the same lockeroom could be more than toxic, try nuclear. Tony Romo, consider yourself warned.

Well, we knoew it would happen eventually. In a time where a woman could become the next president, why can't women skip eligibility and enter the pro basketball draft. However, considering the amount of most contracts in the WNBA, is there really a difference between Candace Parker now and Candace Parker next year? Maybe one, another national championship with the Vols.

The Warriors just beat the best first half team in the league and they are showing the league that as long as there is a shootout they expect to come out on top. Teams better put on their track shoes when they come to Oakland. Great shot BD!

Dallas does all they can to get a player who has proven that he makes teams better and now they seem like Kidd is a semi-liability to their "stellar" roster. In a league where there is no run away favorite Dallas seems to have put themselves in a postion to gain ground and possibly win the west (they should think that; I don't), but they aren't thrilled; which begs the question, why?

After reading the Chronicle this weekend, I wonder if the Warriors may hve been too hopeful in signing C-Webb. I was as nostolgic as the next fan when the signing took place but fans may end up having buyer's remorse when you put C-Webb in the run-n-score style of the Warriors. Is this going to be another A. Foyle? It can't be of the Warriors are going to make another run in the playoffs.
