Ricky Williams Going to Med School!!

Ricky Williams besides getting the new contract is taking summer classes at NOVA in Florida....He intends to go to medical school and major in osteopathy. Big Ups to him and obviously we all know he wants to legalize that Ganja. For Once a life after football story that isnt broadcasting, or anything football related. "Osteopathy is a form of drug-free non-invasive manual medicine that focuses on total body health by treating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework, which includes the joints, muscles and spine. Its aim is to positively affect the body's nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems."

DRUG FREE for RICKY?!>!>!

Osteopathy more info........(http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/70381.php)

heres the article:

**********Running back by day, college student by night*************

By Ben Volin | Monday, September 1, 2008, 02:39 PM

Ricky Williams signed a 1-year contract extension over the weekend to lock him up with the Dolphins through 2009. Monday, a reporter asked him why he wanted to stay in Miami.

"I'm at a point in my career where I'm looking for some kind of stability," said Williams, 31. "I'm taking classes now, so it will be easier to help with the transition to my life after football, so I'm happy to be here another year."

Say what? Taking classes?

"I'm just taking a math class and a writing comp, just to finish up some of my undergrad, still haven't finished my degree," Williams said. "It's just pre-algebra. I never took math when I was undergrad. I'm starting over."

Why pre-algebra?

"I've always been good with numbers," he said. "I want to get my degree pre-med, so you have to take calculus and a bunch of math classes. I've been out of school 10 years and so just trying to start over and get back in the swing of things."

Wow, pre-med? What do you want to do?

"Osteopathy," he said. "There's a college here at Nova, too. That's another reason why staying here is advantageous."

Wait, you're not taking online classes?

"I'm just taking classes here at Nova," he said.

With other people in class?

"I'm not by myself," he said, smiling. "It's an evening class, 6 to 8, but there are other people that have jobs, coming in after work, trying to finish up."

Have you been recognized?

"I've only been to one class," Williams said.

"Teacher was looking at me, he's like, 'You look like you play football, and I was like, 'Yeah, I play football.'"

"And he was like, 'For who?' And I was like, 'For the Dolphins.'"

"He was like, 'What's your name?' I said, 'Williams.'"

"He said, 'OK a€¦ So how's Chad Pennington doing?'"

"I was like, 'Fine,' and that was the end of it."

Teacher never asked for your first name?

"I'm sure he'll come back," Williams said. "Especially math teachers, they're kind of in their own little world, but I'm sure he'll figure it out."

But the students must recognize you, right?

"It's at Nova, so it's a lot of international students, so I think half my class is from different countries," Williams said. "It's a couple hours once a week, not a big deal. I think next semester when I'm going full time it might be more of an issue."

How close are you to graduating?

"Because I'm changing my major I think I have 72 credits," said Williams, an elementary education major at University of Texas a decade ago. "I have to take a bunch of science classes. I want to go to medical school. Hopefully when I'm 40 I'll be starting my next career."

LIST: 20 Safeties Who Will Do it Big This Year!!!

This is a list not on ranking because I dont want to deal with nonsense coming from people about their hometowns players. I put 20 safeties that I think will be the most productive out of all the safeties in the league....If I missed some go ahead and argue but these are safeties that I consider good enough to cause havoc when they are out in the field smacking the hell out of runningbacks and recievers....

ALSO I Posted this prior TO ED Reeds New Health Update with the Nerve Damage in Neck and Shoulder So leave me alone on that....Im still leaving him on here because this probably the last shout out for him on any safeties list for this year....Hes probably going to get surgery in the near future and this might by his last year as a pro, I dont know.... Ed Reed best of luck to you.....

Enjoy and keep it peaceful.......Heavy Hitters

I took some quotes from stuff for some safeties, for others I just got lazy.......

:"""BWEST4Prez""""--->

Nice list....actually not at all. All this list is, is a list of the 16 or so best safties in the league (obviously in no particular order) and you threw in a bunch of washed-up has been safeties...And if you really think Michael Lewis is anything more than mediocre at best, you shouldnt even be making lists, he was traded, he was cut, for good reason in case you dont watch football. And Roy Wiliiams, a player on the verge of getting cut?? oooookay.

1) I like the sarcasm

2) Captain Obvious could have pointed out that these are the 16 best safeties...WELL DUh who would I put, Mike Doss and Kwame Lassiter!!

3) Micheal Lewis was cut because of his horrible coverage, Considine and Mikell is what Eagles have now....Lewis has done well since he left....Considine and Mikell are the future for your team

4) I'm sorry Im not a nerd like you in football...if you have pride for that good for you I dont care.....

5) If you want to know how teams win championships, ill send you my NY Giants Superbowl DVD.....

6) Roy Williams is not getting cut, do you know football? Your Eagles bias is beyond ludicrous, get on an article where all you eagles groupies are, Your not welcome here clown....

Shawn Johnson Knocks out a Pilot!

If I were to come home from a long trip no one would care except my family...If Shawn Johnson comes back to Iowa theirs a big a** party for her in an arena. I dont mind though but whats funny in this case is that the pilot of Shawn Johnsons flight had to get stitches after finding out Shawn was on the plane..."The pilot on a flight to New York was so excited he hit his head when he learned Johnson was on the plane. The flight was delayed when the pilot had to get stitches, and they were forced to find a replacement."

Lessons to take from this:

Shawn Johnson has super powers

Pilots should be given a test prior to becoming one on evaluating their reaction to a celebrity/athlete/leader coming...Dude or duddette that reacts less is a pilot....

Shawn on all the people in the arena:

""Why would you come out here for me?" Johnson asked the crowd. "It doesn't make sense, but it's amazing.""

This is why we all love her,,,,,,,,,cant w8 to see her in more competitions--->she starts a 40 city tour next week, and of course NY isnt on that tour...Damnit

LIST: Sports Illustrated Top 50 NFL Players for the 2008 Season!!!

Just got the SI magazine in the mail and I was looking throughout the typical nonsense they put out in the NFL preview with whose going to win the superbowl and stuff like that.....So this top 50 players by Peter King was eye catching though I dont even agree with any of his picks....Everyone argue for your picks cause this is chaos with the picks he picked....

THIS IS NOT MY LIST DUMMY's!! I WOULD NEVER PUT AN OFFENSIVE LINEMAN OR DTackle in mY List!!!!!

Superbowl Pick by SI--Paul Zimmerman is

Patriots over Eagles -->26 to 23

let me just say they ranked the Giants last year at 20 something.....and the same teams in the superbowl i believe (im going to find the magazine)

Ironman Disses Batman...."F*** DC COMICS!!"

Sour Grapes for Robert Downey Jr. I must say...I liked Ironman but not appreciating a movie, Batman: Dark Knight that should sink the Titanic is hater status on Robert Downeys part...Like honestly Mr. Downey you can come up with three more clown movies like Tropic Thunder and you wouldnt get on Batman's Level. Why So Serious?

6 Reasons Why Batman is Better than Ironman: (NOT COMIC WISE, but if you want to argue be my guest) MOVIE WISE Im doing it On!!!!! I could go on and on....but you get the point....

1) Christian Bale is a far better actor than Downey Jr.

2) The Villian (IronMonger) for Ironman was a peon compared to heavy hitters like the Joker and my man Harvey Dent aka TwoFace....

3) Music for Batman was Insane--> I wont lie I play the music when Im playing Madden, sh** is fire

4) Batman was More Realistic Though CGI for Ironman was Insane and Awesome....

5) Supporting Cast for Batman is far superior to IronMan

6) Storyline though a bit questionable for Batman was better than Ironman......Ozymandias whatever his name was so annoying....Marvel needs better writers in my opinion, they have destroyed Spiderman its a joke now.....

Heres the quotes of Downey:

""My whole thing is that that I saw 'The Dark Knight'. I feel like I'm dumb because I feel like I don't get how many things that are so smart. It's like a Ferrari engine of storytelling and script writing and I'm like, 'That's not my idea of what I want to see in a movie.' I loved 'The Prestige' but didn't understand 'The Dark Knight'. Didn't get it, still can't tell you what happened in the movie, what happened to the character and in the end they need him to be a bad guy. I'm like, 'I get it. This is so high brow and so f--king smart, I clearly need a college education to understand this movie.' You know what? F-ck DC comics. That's all I have to say and that's where I'm really coming from.""

"FINAL THOUGHT""""""""""""

------Downey has a good point that I respect though but as a fan of Marvel, I would have to say Batman has outdone every Marvel movie so far....This is coming from a Spiderman fan first, than a Batman fan......But thats not bad since Batman is my number 1 for DC....Anyways I just found the story to be funny with Ironman hating on BatmosisMan.........--------

Afghanistan Won its 1st Medal ever....and info u wont hear about Afghanistan in Mainstream!!!

Though I was born here my parents are from Afghanistan so this is pretty cool to hear an Afghan (Nikpai-bronze in taekwondo) win something. In a country thats one of the poorest and still decimated by war the likelihood of anything positive coming out of the country is pretty slim. Most kids dont know how to read, most families have 6+ kids its wild with the pathetic places they live in, and dads are working their asses off in an inflation driven country where 500,000 afghanis equals about 10 US dollars. education system is horrible as well so the future of many kids is destroyed after middle school basically..though it is improving....

What many perceive AFghanistan to be via the bigots of the American govt and media is so off. Occasionaly CNN has it right with the situation and reality of Afghanistan. Their hasnt been peace their since 1970 and my parents moved to the States in 1982 when the Russians invaded. One would expect I would have hatred towards Russia when they killed my parents brothers and sisters but thats now how I role or my fellow Afghans. Things happen for a reason which we dont have a control on. But most afghans blame themselves and put blame on America n Pakistan for giving them weapons which America has notably done in other parts of the world where civil war is present (lots of Africa nations) and in my case Afghanistan. At the end of the day my country has been destroyed and taking over by fundamentalists and a puppet government of the US (Karzai the puppet to Bush). Those two (fundy and a puppet gov't) just make the future of Afghanistan pretty hard to be successful.

But hope is never lost, especially when you have someone Like NikPai winning a medal in an environment thats comparable to garbage and sh**. If you can win a medal in an environment like NikPai did thats saying something about Afghans. All the nonsense and politics aside, Afghans are human beings like us and even if afghanistan doesnt produce 600 olympians like America, producing one in a country where stadiums used to be execution fields, land mines scattered all over the land its amazing to hear an afghan persevere...All people need is some hope, and hopefully Nikpai winning a medal will make hundreds of young Afghans want to participate in sports what not ..i really dont know the trickling effect it will have but maybe things could change, as i stated before all you can do is hope for the better....

with all the junk going on with the Taliban and AL Qaeda people seem to associate my country as terrorist country. Afghans like me would just laugh at that stupid stereotype. To those who dont know about what type of people AFghans are heres a short list of qualities majority have....

1) nice--yes we are

2) jokers--we make a joke out of everything, we could be playing golf , we would purposely hit the ball backwards or hit someone and make some stupid lie why it happened....

3) stubborn--one of the worst qualities, their could be instructions to fix something, we would do it our own way and majority of time F up and start cursing (I dont curse tho nor am I stubborn but I see it a lot, too funny)

4) love to sleep--after we eat we sleep, after we sleep we sleep....

5) like sex--we have so many kids its ludicrous--6.2 per family something like that--krazy indeed

6) simple people---materialism aint our motto but if we actually cared we are pretty fashionable

7) we are really peaceful--

8) we love sports---in loving sports we are also competitive and hate to lose...it could be scrabble, if we lose you'll see the letters all over the room and board split in half..(i know scrabble isnt a sport)

9) though lazy we are pretty smart...what holds us from being top notch is our laziness and we dont care mentality

-=-=-=-=-==-Poverty information via CBC news-==--=-=-=-=-==--=

http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2008/08/20/f-afghan-analyze.html

Out of every 1,000 babies born in Afghanistan,--2 die before reaching their first birthday. A woman dies in pregnancy every 30 minutes. Overall life expectancy is estimated at just under 42.5 years.

Afghans scrape by on about $1,000 per year. That's an average. More than half of the population earns less than $2 a day.

Most of those statistics are an improvement from 2002, but there's a long way to go. The task of reconstruction isn't made any easier by the persistence of violence and insecurity.

While the per capita annual income of Afghans has gone up since 2002, nearly seven million people don't have enough food to meet minimum daily needs. That's about a quarter of the population.

The grim toll taken by malaria and tuberculosis has dropped considerably in the past six years, but Afghanistan is still beset by infectious and preventable diseases.

Perhaps most ominously of all, the opium trade has become far and away the most important economic activity in the country, worth more than $3 billion in 2007. That's about a third of the gross domestic product and a huge distortion of attempts to build a modern, legal, inclusive economy.

In all this misery, people long for peace and stability. It seems that it will be a future full of darkness, full of disappointment, full of tragedies and catastrophes. An entire generation has been sacrificed to war. The young innocent children know the word war before peace, the word weapon, before pen. Orphans are crying wanting their parents. Widows are crying wanting their husbands

%^%^%^%^&& FINAL THOUGHT $$$$$$@@@@@@

im just happy we are in the news for something good for a change...Imagine your country been in war for past 30 years, until you walk in someone elses shoe, keep it to yourself, what afghans have been dealing with is inhumane..all i can do is hope for the better and when i start making some dough i will definetley go there and spread some wealth ya dig.....if this is bias im sorry, im just used to the bias stories the American media puts out on Afghanistan....peace

Shawn Johnson is Number 1 in My Book.....

Three Amazing Performances...Three Silver Medals....What more can you ask from a 16 year old gymnast who really lights up the floor with her smile and amazing athleticism. As well even if she doesnt win a gold this tuesday, I still consider her one of the stars of the Olympics with the way she kept her composure on not even getting one gold...

Sacramone blew it in teams, Nastia was a "storybook" win being the fact that her dad couldnt seal the deal 20 years ago in Mens Team Comp in Russia... Nastia had to get that Deja Vu win though Nastia deserved it... And just yesterday the World Champ in Floor, Shawn Johnson somehow got 2nd. It doesnt help the fact that she started first as well but thats politics of the sports that I really dont know much about with who goes first.. Judges tend to score low though with the first couple competitors, one can only imagine if she had gone last....

All the excuses and possibilities aside at the end of the day Shawn Johnson has three silver medals but unlike majority of consensus on 2nd place, I dont care about ranks, the fact that shes repping her country, keeping it real and doing what she loves thats being number one in my book....We Gotta Get These Gymnasts in the Yard>?>>>

Might I Add Shes my Number 1 in the whole Olympics and not Phelps....Though he was a beast and deserves a much needed Kudos...

Yahoo Snippets:

""I had a great time out there," Johnson offered.

This is why Johnson was poised to become America's sweetheart, why all the corporations had banked on her, why USA Gymnastics was so proud to put her at the forefront of its promotions.

As good a gymnast as she is, she's something else as a 16-year-old kid. Almost unnervingly nice, she is relentlessly positive, a one-person cheering session of smiles and dimples and big brown eyes."

::::::My favorite quote:::::

Johnson is everything you want from an Olympic athlete, a great American role model. She has a real life, and she goes to a real public school. She isn't one of these robots who trains eight hours a day in the gym.

LIST: Top 10 Beauties of The Olympics.....

Umm as much as I resort in doing this type of article, I couldnt hold back cause these ladies are puurrrty..so i had to give them love even if they didnt win a medal, though majority have . With that I give you my list on the most beautiful ladies in the Olympics and it would be much bigger if i actually took the time and checked every country. But thats sad, and my hormones arent in the levels of a typical 21 year older... If you have any besides these 10 feel free to add pics or whatever....Enjoy......

Feminists: Relax, these girls are beautiful and i dont judge girls all on looks....if i made a pie graph there would be 5 equal proportions.. Looks, Intelligence, Funny, Unique, Simple....Of course that would be even more fractionalized but thats another story.....so feminists save it...im not anyway associated with the Yin Yang Twins, i dont characterize woman as objects or animals, though I might use expressions, like honey and squeeze....

heres a joke....

Deja Vu...The Liukin Family...

As we all know Nastia Liukin won the gold medal in all around singles competition last night. 20 years back her father was in the same position to win Gold in Mens All Around SIngles but he somehow F'd up on the High Bar in his last routine. And lost by a tenth to someone and got Silver. 20 years later, its Deja Vu and this time Nastia prevails and wins Gold....Congrats...Read the Article....

Random Quotes that I liked:

"This was an immigrant's moment, a family that found that very freedom, that very future they thought possible in the United States.

"I love America," Valeri said. "America gave me many opportunities. We love Russia very much, but we're proud to represent the USA."

He said this deep into this glorious day, after he watched his little girl become champion of the world, after the Liukins' all-around gold finally arrived, after his wife finally stopped panicking and, perhaps, after all the crying.

"I just love Nastia," he said. "I just love my daughter"

Comment on First Quote:

Being a child of immigrants their really isnt a better place than America with what you are able to do and the countless freedoms you have (though some are being abused now)..Anywhere else its chaos with respect to the countries I'm associated with Russia and Afghanistan. My parents left when they started fighting (in the 80's Russia and Afghanistan) and as much as they miss it, they really appreciate America and how good of a place it is to live. And hearing Valeri say this makes me smile because I beleive thats how all immigrants feel about America...

Unlike China, US wins in Gymnastics The Right Way....

Amid all the controversies of China and their two year old gymnasts, The US girls gymnastic team took Gold and Silver. Nastia Liukin won gold in singles (All-Around) competition over teammate/good friend Shawn Johnson who are both pretty cute ya dig. No controversy here this time but all I can say is much love to the gymnasts and what they do. When you win all is well, when you lose excuses piling up like debt in America.. Also that Chinese Girl who was in third is not 16, helll no.

Extra Info: (Via USA TODAY)

- It is the first time the United States has taken the top two spots in women's all-around. It is only the fourth time any country has won gold and silver at the same Games.

- Johnson has been dominant for about the last two years. She lost only once at the senior level, the sports highest division, and that was in March against Liukin.

- Dominique Dawes, a 1996 team gold medalist, and Mary Lou Retton, the 1984 all-around winner, have used the same words to described Johnson: rock solid.

- At 4-9 and weighing 90 pounds, Johnson is all muscle and power. Liukin, on the other hand, incorporates dance elements on floor exercise and balance beam that have become almost rare for American gymnasts because of the sport's emphasis on difficult tumbling.

- Liukin's artistry has gone over well with Olympic judges. For about a year, International Gymnastics Federation President Bruno Grandi has talked about wanting more emphasis on the artistic side of gymnastics. That works in favor of gymnasts such as Liukin, who, at 5-3, is considered tall for her sport.

- Liukin, 18, was trying to win all-around gold 20 years after her father and coach, Valeri, won three medals for Soviet Union at the Olympics in Seoul. Valeri Liukin was a big name in the sport, scoring perfect 10s and leading the Soviets to a team gold medal.

Just some bits of information on the gymnasts.....Though Ill add more when I feel like......Congrats is all I say to these high flying eye raising somersaulting beautiful young ladies.

Swedish Wrestler Keeps it Real, Throws Bronze Away

I have no problem with olympians doing this and if it makes them look bad thats each individuals call. Being the fact that if the olympian knows he got jipped or screwed...In this case Swedish Wrestler Ara Abrahamian got some unfair rulings in his match with Italian Andrea Minguzzi. To the extent he felt he should have won the match and gotten the gold. It was his last match so him expecting to get gold is most likely why he complained but was he right, in my opinion yea. This is what he said, ""I think the semi-final shows that FILA (wrestling's governing body) does not play fair," Abrahamian told reporters. "I didn't deserve to lose." The system is corrupt." It was strange that there were other top wrestlers who got screwed as well that the article mentions so in a way I say Do Something about it, IOC!!

Extra Info On Abrahamanian->

The Semi-Final Match that Ticked him off...(off sweden website)

Ara Abrahamian was during the semi final wrestling match (against Andrea Minguzzi, Italy) very questionable judged and disqualified for being outside the ring at times, something Swedish Olympic Comitee protested against, but the protest was denied and the judges call was not even reviewed on video, something that is stated in the rules that it should. He was very upset and clearly thought he should have won the match, but the judge gave the win to Italy. After thinking about not attending the following bronze match against France he was convinced by friends to fight anyway, he did, won the bronze and then threw it away.

Pelle Svensson, former member of the board of FILA (International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles) of 16 years, now comes forward defending the actions of Ara Abrahamian and reveals the corruption that infests wrestling. Pelle Svensson speaks of death threats and bribed judges as common practise and experienced first hand in the Olympic games in Sydney (2000) and Athens (2004), he informed FILA but they do nothing. He tried to change rules but FILA denied his suggestions, and Pelle left the organisation.

It's very sad that this kind of corruption is still growing in sports, especially in the Olympic Games. I really hope they change some rules in how they pick the judges to prevent this from happening.

Ara Abrahamian says the semi final wrestling match was his last.

<--BAck to My Pinion-->

Judges were from Switzerland, Cuba and Canada...Now I dont see the politics part yet but looking at the match yesterday, he deserved to win the gold...It was like that Roy JOnes Jr fight where he knew he was going to win but right when decision came, some clown won it from korea which was so sad to see cuz he never deserved it.....Some dude from Turkey won the bronze....I wonder how he felt...Also I had some wrong info and sorry for the misinformation but what he did was pretty middle eastern, so those Armenians and Geographers I upset sorry...Just the fact that Middle Easterners hate to lose and have hard time accepting losing even if Armenia is in proximity to the Middle East.

Heres the video...I dont know the language..pretty attractive host and its not my video (dude puts a subliminal message)
