Here Comes Percy "No Mercy" Harvin

Gators Junior wide receiver Percy Harvin, is said to be ahead of schedule, he is recovering from heel surgery. The potential Heisman candidate has been lifting and working out all offseason and Florida coaches say he is now one of the strongest players on the team. Just last season Harvin showed off his versatility with 764 yards rushing and 858 yards receiving, oh yeah, and 10 touchdowns.

Harvin hopes to be on the field more this year and contribute to a national title chase. If your not familiar with college football, or the SEC, you need to start watching this guy, he'll make you a Florida Gator fan, or at least a college football fan, I promise.

Turkey, remembered in a different way

By now everyone knows that Germany is moving on to the final of Euro 2008 after an exciting last minute win over the tournament underdog Turkey. But its the way Turkey lost the match that shocked us more than them actually losing. The Turks made a name for themselves the past couple weeks by winning games late and coming back from one and two goal deficits.

With a depleated line up and a back up goalie, the turks drew first blood with a goal half way through the first half, but the same ambition that drove them to that goal cost them when the germans took advantage of a quick counterattack that saw them tie the game only four minutes later at 1-1. At halftime the score had not changed. Late in the first half, around the 79th minute Klose scored for the germans off a header and put the Germany ahead 2-1. It seemed as if the germans had complete control of the game until the 86th minute when a low cross came into the box and a turkish player got the slightest of touches on the ball to propel it past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net. The world watched and simply thought to themselves, "not again". Turkey had tied the game in the 86th minute of a semi-final match at Euro 2008, a team that wasn't even expected to make it past the group stage. There wasn't a neutral soccer fan in the world that didn't want Turkey to pull it out in extra time.

The match seemed poised for extra time, but in the 90th minute Lahm gave the Turks a taste of their own medicine with a blast into the back of the net. The turks had made the comeback we were waiting for, but they had made it too soon, the germans would go on to win the match 3-2, and Turkey was eliminated.

We may never remember Turkey as the champions of Euro 2008, but they will be remembered as the team that never quit, no matter how many goals they needed to overcome, how many starters were injured, no matter how many starters were suspended, they found a way to win and a different way to be remembered.
