Finally! After saying it for at least 15 years, it is being seen. In the NFL you live or die by the run. The Eagles have no running game. I have said for a long time that Westbrook is at best a scat back. He is not durable enough to be a premier back. Granted he has great skills all around and he is a valuable player in the scheme of things. You need to have a big north to south, line pounding running back to keep the defense honest. It is a basic rule of the game and will never, never change. I hate the VaGiants, but, I have to admire their running game. Three big backs and a pro bowl quality fullback. That is how they win. Manning is at best a good back up quarterback. Any Reid hasn't figured out this building block of the game in 10 years. Now we have absolutely no running threat. He needs to go. The west coast offense died with Bill Walsh. Run by committee doesn't work and will never work. Well, unless you have three great backs that you can rotate into the game at will. We need Bill Cowher and a new QB coach that can teach McNabb to plant his feet right from the beginning of the game and not until the second half. Or get rid of him at the end of this year and use the money for a great back and fullback. We drafted Kolb let's give him his shot. We drafted Tony Hunt and then cut him because he couldn't learn the offense. Probably because it didn't contain any running plays. We signed Klecko as a fullback and to use in short goal line plays. Where has he been? Wake up Eagles! You have the greatest most dedicated fans in the NFL! We are finding it harder and harder to talk smack without a ring!

I have been a dedicated Eagles fan for over thirty years. I have not agreed with Andy Reid's decisions for a number of years. He can't win a clutch game. We saw it in the Super Bowl and we have seen it over and over since then. He can't manage the clock and he can't call plays that play to our strengths. The Eagles are arguably the most talented team in the NFL today. If we aren't winning it is only because of the play calling. The offense becomes one dimensional when McNabb and Westbrook are both healthy. Last year when we nearly beat New England with Feeley coming off the bench for the first time that season, everyone got the ball and we dominated the game. Because he was rusty, we got some key interceptions that resulted in a loss. We can't have a scat back as our main running threat. We saw last night that you live and die by the run in the NFL. The Giants were fantastic on the ground. They have my congratulations. Manning is, at best, a mediocre quarterback. We need a big premiere back that will net us 1000 yards per year.
