Um yeah, someone was caught cheating in the Nationwide Series, now you don't suppose that they would be so bold as to do the same thing in the Cup Series, would you? Hmmmm. By the way, congrats to Carl Edwards for kicking Kyle Busch's butt today. Unfortunately, if you the readers are expecting me to say anything else regarding the Michigan race, please don't hold your breath. I'm miserable.

Such a shame. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Kalitta family, friends and the entire NHRA community.

First of all, I think the rumor that Tony Stewart may join up with John Menard to form a new team is a bunch of bull considering their history. Below are some options I thought about and let me know what you think.

Nothing going on this weekend except for a little ol' bar called Whisky River is having their grand opening. And since I'm in New Jersey, I don't think I'll be attending the grand opening.

A total of 23 drivers are eligible for the 2008 Budweiser Shootout — which will be the record for the largest field in the history of the event (The previous high was 22 in 2002). There were 18 drivers who gained eligibility by winning a pole in 2007, while five others are eligible because they are past winners of the Budweiser Shootout (and finished in the top 50 in final series point standings). Four drivers will be competing in the event for the first time.
