NHL Stanley Cup: Hot Wings, Anyone?

Henrik Zetterburg may have locked up the Conn Smythe Trophy with his performance in Game 4 for Stanley Cup Finals. The Red Wings delivered a 2-1 win in Pittsburgh to open a 3 to 1 series lead on the Pens on Saturday Night. Zetterburg and his linemates fended off a 5 on 3 powerplay with 9:50 to go in 3rd period while the Wings were clinging to a one-goal lead. Zetterberg essentially locked up the Pens captain Sidney Crosby during the powerplay, and was able to possess the puck after clearing an errant pass from Evgeni Malkin. Zetterburg even managed a shorthanded shot off to effectively kill off the 2-man advantage. Wanna see more? Click on the web link provided below... Thanx for resding!

NBA: Pistons Takes And Finals Musings

Looking back at the Eastern Conference Finals, there are two things that became painfully clear: We will have a Celtics-Lakers final and the Pistons are looking at needed roster changes in the next pre-season.

The Pistons could not manage to keep the Celtics within striking distance down the stretch, wasting away a 10-point lead in the 4th Quarter in Game 6. Pimping Detroit Sports And Much More

The Motor City Kitties - After scoring 53 runs in the first 5 games of their home stand over a bad Seattle team and 2 games against a young Minnesota squad, the Tigers managed to score one run against Minnesota and their rookie lefty hurler, Glen Perkins. Now calling this year's incarnation of the Tigers an enigma would be an understatement. This lineup loaded with this much talent and experience have been bit by the Yankee-itis bug. Big payroll, marginal results. The starting staff have been inconsistent as the overachievers of the staff have seemed to plateau and the most inexperience relief cannot hold a lead. As I do feel confident the home team will pull out of the tailspin there in and I know it's only May, but... I worry they are another big injury from being out of contention as the offense will need to carry this team thru the summer. And I also happen to think D-Train would make a much better set-up/closer than replace Armando Galarraga in the rotation. If the young guy can give you quality innings, you just can't hide $8 Million in the bullpen or even as a fifth starter. The bully needs another veteran presence and he could give it to you one inning at a time. I know, I know... it's crazy, but hear me out.
