Sheldon's Upset.... Lied To?

Nick Fierro, of the Trenton Times, reports Philadelphia Eagles CB Sheldon Brown is angry with the way the team has handled their offseason moves, according to a source. Brown was unhappy with the team's signing of CB Asante Samuel and was angered over he and CB Lito Sheppard being "lied to" by head coach Andy Reid over an unspecified issue. Brown believes most of the players are unhappy with the message the team sent by trading their first-round pick in 2008 for an extra first-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Jacksonville Interested In Lito

There's still a good possibility that Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard will be traded before this weekend, when the Eagles will hold their post-draft minicamp.

According to league sources, Sheppard's agent, Lamont Smith, has had extensive conversations with the Jacksonville Jaguars about a possible offer for his client. The Jags, who are trying to make their defense as Peyton Manning-proof as possible, were interested in Sheppard before the draft. But their first-round trade-up with Baltimore to get defensive end Derrick Harvey cost them two third-round picks and a fourth-round selection, leaving them with just two picks in the first four rounds.

Eagles Players You Don't Want To See Back Next Year

The link will send you to the Eagles current roster.

Take a look, who do you think should be gone before the start of pre-season.

I would like to see Darren Howard, Jerome McDougal and Ryan Moats gone to start.

Howard is stealing money, and the other two haven't done anything, and should be easily replaceable by younger players with larger upside.

Eagles to take a look at Albert Young

By SEAN McCANN • Courier-Post Staff • April 9, 200

For the second year in a row, the Eagles may give a former Moorestown High School football player his NFL shot

Albert Young, a University of Iowa running back and two-time Courier-Post high school Player of the Year with the Quakers, confirmed that he is scheduled to visit the NovaCare Complex today for a predraft workout.

"I think they wanted to keep things on the down-low as far as where they might go in the draft, so I haven't talked with the coaches too much," Young said. "I like the Eagles' scheme because they like to use their running backs as receivers as well as ball carriers, and that's something I can definitely do."

The NFL Draft will take place April 26-27 in New York, and the Eagles have 11 picks spread over the seven rounds. Young is currently projected as a late-round pick, an area where some athletes would prefer not to be taken.

That's what happened to his former Moorestown teammate, Dereck Faulkner, a Hampton wide receiver the Eagles signed as a rookie free agent after the 2007 Draft.

Young admitted that free agency has its advantages, but hopes to hear his name called anyway.

He ranks third on Iowa's all-time rushing list, carrying the ball 660 times for 3,173 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also caught 79 passes for 709 yards and two scores, while seeing occasional duty as a kickoff returner.
