Javon Walker found unconscious on Las Vegas street

Fox 5 Las Vegas reports that Raiders WR Javon Walker was found unconscious with an "orbital fracture" on Flamingo Boulevard just off the Las Vegas strip early Monday morning.

We caution that no other source has reported the news yet. Police reportedly don't know how he got the fracture, but he was listed in fair condition at an area hospital Monday. The Las Vegas Review Journal spotted Walker Saturday night at the Wynn spraying Dom Perignon Rose champagne he ordered.

Luckiest Giants Fan Sneaks into Parade/Locker room and has pics to prove it

I apologize if this article was already posted but I looked it up and couldn't find in on YB, which is straight-up shocking if true. This lucky schmuck walked his way into infamy by just blending in w/ the Mara family...impressive, frightening from a security perspective but a sick story complete w/ pics & video.

Cano could be the cost for Twins' Santana

"In return for Santana, the Twins likely will ask for a package centered on second baseman Robinson Cano, a person familiar with Minnesota's operations said yesterday."

Ronnie Brown out for the Season...Dolphins & Fantasy Players F'd

ESPN is reporting that Miami RB Ronnie Brown looks to be lost for the season w/ a damaged right knee. With the Dolphins at 0-7 this is the blow that could doom them to a winless season. Fins fans everywhere are hoping that playing Buffalo twice will get them a "W".

Knicks Look to Dig a Bigger Hole, Sign Allan Houston

Could this be any more frustrating for Knicks fans? Word at ESPN is that Isiah Thomas is about to sign Allan Houston...WTF?

Houston, 36, said he wants to return to the NBA because he did not leave by choice. In 2005, Houston retired because of an arthritic left knee. He has not played a full NBA season since 2002-03, when he scored a career-high 22.5 points per game. Over the next two years, he only played 70 games. 2003 FOLKS!

Leafs forward Jason Blake has rare form of leukemia

Let me preface this all by saying tha anyone with, or any form of cancer is a very serious thing but Wow, looks like the Islanders actually made a decent move in hindsight...of course this cancer "isn't supposed" to effect his level of play but I bet Garth Snow just exhaled.

Benihana is Collaborating with Goilbert Arenas on a sneaker

Apparently Gilbert Arena's is a major "shoehead"...There are going to be 20 different versions of Gilbert's shoe next year. Most of them are limited editions. Check out release #18...The Hibachi...very cool.

DJ Strawberry signs with the Pheonix Suns

The Suns signed the son of former MLB major leaguer Daryl Strawberry to a two-year contract that includes a guaranteed first season and a second-year team option.

Strawberry, Phoenix's second-round pick (No.59 overall) in June's draft, will receive the rookie minimum salary of $427,163 this season.

Strawberry, a 6-foot-5 combo guard who played at Maryland, graded out as one of the top athletes and defenders in the draft. He handled the point guard spot well at NBA Summer League, averaging a league-best 6.4 assists.

'Redneck Games' end in raucous arrests

Head on down to good ole Texas where the Beer's plentiful and the teeth are few...it's a four-day even that pits the very best inbreds against each other in events such as the "Mattress Chuck" -- where teams of two slam a 12-pack of beer, get in a pickup truck and start driving, then climb into the bed and throw the mattress as far as possible. What do you expext to happen when you give rednecks access to a 3,000 acre ATV park, beer & fireworks. In the end 54 people were arrested

Vlad Finds Homerun Stroke

Finally! Vlad the impaler after 30 games (125 ABs) found his HR stroke w/ two huge bombs against the A's to lead the Halo's to victory (6-4) Thursday night. His fantasy owners have to breathe a sigh of relief that the HR Derby curse might not have gotten him...myself included. he still has a lot of wood to chop if he's going to hit his season avg of 37HRs, probably not going to happen in 2007 unless he REALLY catches fire as he's only hit 16 so far.

Dotel to the Braves

According to the Kansas City Star & the Seattle Post Intelligecier; Octavio Dotel is on his way to Atlanta for Kyle Davies...If you ask me the Royals are garbage...supposedly the Mariners offered up Wladimier Ballentien for Dotel, [can you say HUGE mistake?] Seattle fans rejoice, Bavasi dodges a bullet...looks like the Braves are making a push...the NL East just got a whole lot more interesting

Legendary coach Bill Walsh dies

Hall of Fame NFL coach Bill Walsh has died after a long battle with leukemia, according to San Francisco broadcast reports. Walsh, who guided the San Francisco 49ers to three Super Bowl championships and six NFC West division titles in his 10 years as head coach, was 75.

'Canes acquire Cullen from Rangers

The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired forward Matt Cullen from the New York Rangers for defenseman Andrew Hutchinson, forward Joe Barnes and a third round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Ben Broussard sings the Blues

Looks like Cleveland's Ben Broussard has added his name to the list of athlete-singer/songwriters...I wonder what Peter Gammon's take is on this. I'll take Ken Baumgartener any day...
