Sports Caricature Shirts You Used To Wear

For a trip down memory lane... don't pretend like you didn't rock these shirts in junior high.

Dan Majerle Is Still Much Better Than You

Check out this video of Dan "The Man" Majerle popping two half court trick shots while wearing a suit. This ain't no PowerAde commercial (http://www.snopes.com/photos/advertisements/lebron.asp).

Saints Fans Feel Like They Won

I'm posting this article mainly to bookmark it for myself, but I recommend it to ya'll too. The bottom line is that in New Orleans, it doesn't matter that the team lost to the Bears this week. They already gave Saints fans more than they've had for a long, long time.

Nash Ruins Ball Reunion

Steve Nash is never happy. He's bummed they changed the ball in the first place and now he's bummed they're switching back. Kind of like how everyone else feels about his hair.

Will Ferrell and Woody Harrelson Starring in Hoops Comedy

I'm already looking forward to this one. Will and Woodie are teaming up in a comedy about the ABA. Damn, how sweet would a Bill Murray cameo be?!

Louisville Players Suspended for Gunplay

Paintball guns. Two Louisville football players. Innocent woman walking out of a haunted house. Suspended 1 game. Still laughing.

Halloween Costumes For Sports Blogger Types

Still looking for a costume for Halloween? The Postmen have some suggestions.

The Effect of Weather on Postseason Play

Hardball Times did some analysis to support what a lot of people have always suspected: baseball is different in October. Not just because the pressure is higher and the teams are better, but because it's colder. Simplistically speaking, it's harder to hit when it's colder... but there's a lot more to it than that.

Check Out Gilbert Arenas' Blog

This has already made it on to my must-read list. I'm looking forward to a reading update after update about how Gilbert doesn't think he's quirky.

A-Rod's Plane Almost Crashes

Spookily coming on Friday the 13th and during the same week as the Cory Lidle disaster, A-Rod's private jet overran a runway at Bob Hope Airport. Everyone on board was fine and damage to the plane was minor. Here's the cool part:

"The twin-engine jet was stopped by the Engineered Materials Arresting System, a 200-foot-long stretch of pavement injected with air bubbles designed to collapse under the weight of an aircraft as large as a Boeing 737 jet traveling as fast as 50 knots, airport spokesman Victor Gill said.

"It came to a pretty quick stop," Gill said."

The Pathology of Gilbert Arenas

Esquire has a fantastic feature on Gilbert Arenas in its current issue. There's a huge buzz about it on the blogs, but here's the direct link. Bottom line -- Arenas is a funny dude. He collects DVDs he has no intention of ever watching, obsessively watches informercials, and does jumping jacks. And he rocks at basketball.

MLB Grab Bag Post

Solid blog entry with a cornucopia of baseball goodness. Including a dead-on send up of Eric Byrnes looking like Jeff Daniels from Dumb & Dumber on ESPN; a first look at the sweet new Dbacks logo. And this:

" Mark Kotsay almost seemed embarrassed when he was asked about his inside the part home run, at the expense of Torii Hunter's blunder. It's not surprising, as Kotsay is one of the top class acts in the bigs, and knows that Hunter is as well."

Never Trust Texas Cheerleaders

Watch this video of a brutal cheerleading crash landing. Then contemplate the fact that it was shown on the nightly news in -- where else? -- Texas.

Eva Longoria Dumps Tony Parker

Ironically, the Desperate Housewife known for seducing poolboys decided to call off the relationship because of their seven-year age difference: "She just decided he's too young."

Also, his accent was starting to get old.

Video of Ryan Clark Leveling Chris Henry

As Kissing Suzy Kolber points out, both of these players has two first names. But even if that weren't true, this would be a worthwhile post -- if you missed this hit on Sunday -- or even if you saw it actually -- check it out here.
