"In this age of global warming, it's nice to see the NFL, and Nolan in particular, believes strongly in recycling." Mike Nolan is considering Cam Cameron, Brian Billick and Mike Martz for the offensive coordinator postion in San Francisco. After suffering through a season of mandatory TV coverage of the 49ers' offensive woes, I am not sure that any of these guys really excite me about next year. If Martz can bring with him Marshall Faulk, Issac Bruce, Torry Holt and anyone else that originally helped label him with the offensive genius tag, than it might be worth considering.

The $1.5 million boat was siezed after Sprewell failed to make the mortgage payments. I guess turning down the $21 million deal from the T-Wolves wasn't the best idea.

You would think that this was a surprise to Johnson, who at the draft, sung his own praises repeatedly when describing every wide receiver selected by another team. Without Parcells around to tolerate Keyshawn's ego it will be interesting to see who picks him up. May be Mike Martz will want to add a 7th receiver to his flag football style No Run Just Shoot offense in Detroit.

The NFL dropped a nasty $100k fine on the best player in the league for wearing a Vitamin water hat during a Superbowl press conference. Gatorade is the official sponsor of the NFL. Translation, only Gatorade and NFL can make obscene amounts of money. Pete Rozelle lives!

The Rutgers women's basketball team took one step closer to a national title by completely destroying LSU earlier today 59-35. They will match up against the juggernaut of women's basketball, the Lady Vols in the championship. It would be nice if in the off-season the women could hold a clinic for the Rutgers men's team.

Gagne is starting the year on the DL. But you knew that would happen in December. If you didnt back up Gagne with Otsuka in your fantasy league, shame on you. The Rangers are claiming that Gagne is not hurt but they just want to get him some more work. Thats a good idea since his fastball was about equal in speed to Tim Wakefield's this spring.

And all this time I thought it was Kornheiser that was causing the growing pains between the new crew. Looks like ESPN thought otherwise. Supposedly, Theisman is getting another job at ESPN, but it has not been announced yet.

That question mark can be removed. Sports Frog covered the rumor earlier today, but its now official. What have I learned throughout this mess? Pretty much that Kentucky fans are essentially unsatisfiable. Tubby Smith won close to 80 percent of his games with Kentucky and reached 100 wins 2nd quickest in team history (that's faster than Pitino, nostalgia lovers). Here is a link to Fox's coverage in the Twin Cities: http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=2741881 &version=14&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=3.2.1

This was the women's tournament of course. The Rutgers men's team has already eliminated itself from any categories you could possibly show respect. If only there was a way to get the women's team to play for the guys. I feel a brainstorm coming on for some 80's style comedy genuius. If only Rodney Dangerfield was still alive to coach.

BaseballHQ takes a hard look at some of the question marks that surround speed demons from around the league. Knowing about Carl Crawford will let you survive round 1 of your draft, this list discusses the stolen base threats that will appear in the second half of your draft.

A pretty solid list, but as the writer puts it, this group is "thinner than Nicole Ritchie." Scarcity leads to average guys getting big contracts. Who will be the NFL's Gil Meche?

Article from the Smoking Gun, detailing court documents that were filed yesterday by Harold Reynolds denying the grounds for the sexual harrassment charges by ESPN and used as support for his dismissal. Guilty or not, Reynolds is definitely paying for his conduct. Prior to getting fired he had signed a six year, $5 million contract. A link to the actual contract if you are curious in reading is here... http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2007/0207072reynolds1.html

Remind me again why Dick Jauron has a head coaching job in the NFL? The Bills must be looking to bring back the wide receiver screen that Jauron over-used with zero effectiveness in Chicago. Throwing 1 yard passes would eliminate the need for a quality running back and make McGahee expendable. I guess Jauron really has thought this through. If the trade rumors are true, expect the G-Men to be in the mix for McGahee's services.
