Its go time!! 3 and half weeks my own butt kicking trying to do everything i can to be ready for this years season. As most of you probably know that i've been playing a lot of positions now. Corner, Safety, Dime, and Nickel back, So i have a lot on my plate this year. Gotta go into training camp to battle everyday during these two a days. I think we got a training camp short too, because i think we only have like 6 two a days this camp because our preseason is so hectic. I hope you guys are ready for a young packers team to continue to be a force to be reckoned with, because we aren't slowing down anytime soon.
Again watch my girlfriend in the Olympics, Jacquelyn johnson.. BEAST!! heptathlon

Sorry i've been in missing in action but i promise i am back..and will be on constantly for now on. So now about the farve controversy, I know alot of people of heard about alot of things about him retiring and then him coming back. But i think we are going in a different direction. And goin to keep Aaron Rodgers as our starting qb... i think it is time for A Rod to step into the spotlight..dont you?..
So my girlfriend i told you guys about ...that ran traqck for arizona state made the olympic team for beijing..she does the heptathalon. And she finally got the internet so she can get on here and do some blogs for you guys as well so that is very exciting..and so proud of her. Unfortunately i cant go to Beijing with her..but she knows if i could i would. The reason i cant go is because we will be in the middle of training camp. So i can do is watch it on tv and try and get updates as she competes. So you guys try to watch for her and let me know also if you see and im going to try and watch most of it..but sometimes might be sleeping getting ready for two a days. catch you guts later

Hey yard.. just wanted to let you guys know that OTA's is going really well, been playing and offseason workouts been definitely helping out. All the running I did and stuff during the off season working with my old db coach from college. Actually, matter of fact, he actually has an internship here with the Packers...who would of thought, right? But yea my girl jacquelyn johnson the track star is coming to visit me this weekend..so i am very amped about that. I know you guys have a lot of questions about Aaron Rodgers... asking if he is going to be ready and all. And you know what, I have all the confidence in the world in him. I definitely think we will not be missing too much of a beat coming in to this season. We have 2 and a half more weeks of OTA's and then our mini camp. So we still have a ways to go but like i said things are goin well... and running with a fire in the chest..because i want it so bad! i'll keep u updated about the rest of the week..you guys take it easy!

Hey yard .. Just came on to say whats up...just trying to get in better shape than I was last year. I have been doing spin classes and yoga to keep up my flexibility and conditioning. We have like 2 more weeks until we actually start playing football and i'm so excited because we have some good competition coming in at the receivers and cant wait to get first crack at them. Also i went to Arizona this past weekend to watch one of my friends run in the pac 10 championship. Her name is Jacquelyn Johnson and she does the heptathalon and i watched her break like 4 records when i was there. She is 6 time national champion and like a 9 time all american. I'm going to try and see if I can get her on the yard to write some blogs...and see if i can pull a few strings. She is very succesful at what she does a great person and loves to compete. i think she broke the meet record, the stadium record and the pac 10 record, for the heptahalon for points. She might be able to beat me in a race. And even more crazy is that her coach after she is done running she wants to go pro. She will def'ly be at the summer olympics in beijing. I tried to see if i could go but we will be in the middle of the football season. So you're watching TV and you see the olympic trials or the nationals meet...keep your eyes peeled for this girl...she is a force to be reckoned with.

So we first started off drafting a WR, but I think we might move him to tight end because we need one. Jordy Nelson is 6'2 220 lbs. I don't know, that's pretty big, but if he stays at WR then we will be a pretty physical team at that position. We also picked up Brian Brohm from Louisville, so I will have many opportunities to be a living hell being around the ball trying to pick off his balls. And we ended up picking a corner in the final 2nd round... but let it be known he better be ready to compete... Patrick Lee from Auburn, let's get ready to RUMBLE!!!!!!

Hey yard ! just came on to say whats up and say the few things that were on my mind. We start last week which is called IPW's basically standing for Individual player Workouts. And what we do is that we have meeting and stuff about scheming other teams, and review coverages that we did during the season and correct some mistakes that we know now and that we did wrong during the season. We also look at some technique things that we do not do now..but what we did in the past to learn from it. I was good to see that stuff to let you know what not to do anymore. And i think i can speak for all the defensive backs that were in the room with me... that we have come a long way. So after meeting we do a walk thru in the gym. after that we lift weights for about an hour and half then we go to the field and we run some drills. Specifically for your position, because thats what these workouts are for, to improve what you need to work as a player. Because some players have different weaknesses and also different strengths.
Other than that i was Santa Barbera this past weekend hanging out with some friends and i had a great time running along the beach looking at the ocean, i was even lucky enough to have dolphins swimming the direction i was running, so i thought that was a treat to see and sun was setting at the same time. Unbelievable!!
So this weekend i was picked to be at the draft party this weekend so that should be fun..but at the same kinda weird because they might draft a corner, so we'll eventually battle for a spot so yea..just wanted to say whats up.. stay true and compete in anything you do!!

WHOOOO jayhawks all the way baby!! I knew they wouldn't let me down. Even though they were not even supposed to win that game. They won!!. I'm actually a Tar Heels fan but when it came down to rooting for the national champions... if any team can beat my Tarheels like that, I have to tip my hat off to them. Mario Chalmers came through in the clutch and it was funny because me and my teammate Desmond were jumping up and down on the couches when he made that shot to put it into overtime.
Anyways back to football still working out. Doing the off season program, and this past week i was awarded the performer of the week. Which is throughout the whole team, for the person who works out the hardest. So yea things are going well. I have a few trips lined up for the weekend. Im going to alabama with my teammate charlie peprah to visit his college for the spring game, which is gonna be pretty fun. Then that following weekend I go to Santa Barbara to visit some friends there. so yea things are going well here just have to wait til mini camp to prove myself once again!! Thanks for reading you guys!!

So its the second week of the off season program. And alot of the workouts in utah and cali have been paying off quite a bit. Even the snowboarding haha for those who have been keeping up with my blogs. The workouts are so much easier than my own personal workouts by myself in utah. I will be going to florida to train with chad johnson and marquand manuel again to get an edge on some of the other corners will be competing against. Which was a lot of fun because training really early in the morning and the treat to go to south beach to enjoy the rest of the day was freakin amazing. But the hard work must come first. So yea yo can definitely tell who was working out and who wasn't working out. Some players were throwing up and others like me were cruising thru the workouts. And we compete for what is called the performer of the week...and i got it last year on the first week! and basically it just looks good for the coaches to see what kind of hard work you have been doing during the off season conditioning program. We also do this program, its like muscle movement deviations, where its a screening test to where its shows you how efficient your body works and things of that nature. So just keeping up with the feet work and working on some little things to help me get better as the off season comes along.
So, I have been working out my best friend who plays here for an arena 2 team called the green bay blizzard and i guess he was chosen out of a random 8 people to be followed around in a reality tv show, and basically it just shows how someone at that level. And shows the struggle that goes along with the level of football they are playing at. Also the income is not that great at all at the arena 2 level and it just shows u the dedication that they have to have to keep and pursue there dreams to make it to the NFL. And so the camera guy wanted to watch one of the workouts we do on our own after his practices because he took 5 years off so I'm helping him with the fundamentals of playing cornerback. And what was pretty cool was that when I was working him out the camera guy asked if I could where a microphone because i was coaching him up on his mistakes and things to that nature. So yea i do not know when the show will air. I guess it is in the process making of being pitched to ESPN or BET. So I thought that was pretty cool.

So I'm back here in Green bay and we started our off season conditioning on monday with a just an upper body lift. I must say if feels good to be back in green bay, having my own privacy and apartment. And as much as i like it, taking a break from doing some of the community service things around my old high school. It was so great to see my teammates and crack jokes from last season. I wish we had a little bit more time, but because I'm a 2nd going on my 3rd year pro i had to be back on the 17th of march and the 3rd year 4 year guys get an extra 2 weeks later..but it is what it is...and gotta keep working out. My schedule during the days are usually pretty easy but you have to learn how to keep yourself occupied. Like i work out at 830 and 930 depending on the day, then you lift weights and play a lil back gammon or dominos in the locker room and chills its pretty laid back Like video games..and most of the time we sleep take naps...we will soon start bowling..because we bowl for free that this certain bowling alley. By the way i am the champ at bowling at bowling on the team...my best is 257 ...so any amateurrs out there wanna try and give me a run for my money...make sure u bring it
!!
So the media is mixing up some of the distractions of saying that us cornerbacks...Me, Tramon Williams, and Will Blackmon need to pick it up or were saying that we were struggling. So i dont know what they are trying to stir up..but that ok if they draft high for a corner i will beat that corner out...doesn't matter who it is
Sorry i had to vent about the whole draft thing, because its almost a slap in the face when they draft high like that in your position..but you also have to understand that its a business and nothing personal. But so im just chillin not just got done eating dinner, sitting down watching an action packed movie ! so yea

So I've been in utah for about 2 and half weeks now...I have been kicking my own butt on this Acceleration program...where you run on a treadill for a certain amount of time and speed at a certain amount of incline. I was supposed to have some other Canadien football players that I played college with, and they only showed up for one session of working out? So they flaked on me...BUT since everyone is working and still have school here at utah state...utah is known for the best snow on earh so right after im done working out and doin footwork drills...because you can only do some many drill and working out...so i go snowboarding like every other day haha!!! so fun..but i always make sure i get my work in!
So I ready to go back to green bay for the off season conditioning. And man green bay wisconsin is not the best place to do off season...but at the same time it is the best place to focus on what you want to accomplish. So if u guys are ever in green bay and you see me in the street of green bay...im very approachable and very fun ! But because green bay is kinda chill because there is not much to do..play pool, play some ping, and hang out and play halo and mario kart all day..because there is only so much training you can do in one day!
I come into green bay on sunday and off season conditioning begins ! LETS DO IT!!
GAMETIME SON!!

Tuesday morning I got a call at 6:30 in the morning some telling me that Brett Favre told the media that he is retiring after 17 years in the NFL. As a teammate, I dunno. We still have hope, because look at Roger Clemens... and Michael Strahan.
Until training camp opens I don't believe that he is going to fully retire. He loves the game too much. And we were so close this year, why not give us another chance?
I had to vent a little bit because people kept texting me and calling me about it so...just wanted to let you guys know. Hit me back.

Man... friends stabbing friends in the back! You never know who your real friends are! What the heck is goin on. We practically grew up together! Girlfriends getting getting at other girlfriends boys Friends getting at girls that friends already talking to. You know who your real friends are when you are nothing. Or even when it's tough or even though you know your friend is gonna get mad...but in the end he going to thank you for telling the truth! People always want to get want they want and don't care what about anyone else. What's up with people nowadays!

So the community service went well at my schools. I have lots of pictures to show you guys. One thing I learned talking to kids at different age groups was that you have to learn how to down talk sometimes, because when I would talk to 4th 5th or 6th graders they wouldn't understand exactly what I would be saying. But I adapted quickly and moved on.
I'm actually at the Sacramento airport right to go to Utah right. Utah is where my old college is at...Utah State. I know, I know very small school, but I get to workout with my old teammates and do some one on ones and footwork drills stuff like that. So I will also be staying with who was my big bro per se... Andre Bala, he played safety for Utah State. We were both seniors so it should be lots of fun.
I also do another type of training in Utah. Its called frappier acceleration. And its so tough but I have to do it. I have to get ready for this contract year and negotiate a new contract. Being a free agent and taking a tough road I always have to work harder than the next person, because in my situation the person next to me is always drafted and/or supposedly a high profile athlete. But I know one thing. I will work harder than next person and I will succeed. I'm trying to shock the world and want people to remember my name.
Anyways!! So I'm going to Utah and training with some other corners for the arena league because my coach coached some previous players before me who are playing in the leagues below me... so it should be a lot competition and fun... I will keep you guys posted in a couples days on how it goes !!

Well let me first start off by saying that I'm still feeling the loss against the giants. That was a definitely a game that hurt the most, almost surreal. But at the same time we have t tip our hats off to the giants beating the 18-0 Patriots. It was funny because almost the whole team stayed that following wee after we lost because we did not want to believe that we lost. And i just felt that everyone in America that night wanted us to win that game and we had home field advantage, so it was even in our favor. So finally getting passed that its time to move from that loss look forward to the new season coming up.
So now we are in the off season been hitting it pretty hard at the gym. And people still bring up the giants game. And i sort of have to block it out because people keep bringing it up at the gym or at my old high school or even my junior college. But its OK I just have to keep pushing and not think about it
So in my off time i have been visiting my high school talking to kids about hard work and dedication. I was very rewarding considering I was sitting in there shoes and there desks not too long ago. So i think i actually some of the students because when the bell rung, the student wouldn't leave they had some many questions to ask me. Like what I did to get where I'm at now ? and what little things did i do to be good at what I do? I may have talked about one question for like an hour. So some of the students we so shocked that they finally met me and shook my hand for literally for like 2 minutes straight..haha and he couldn't look me in the eye. I got to my grade school tomorrow and talk to 5 and 6 graders so we will see how that goes.
