Bruce Bowen benched for the first time in 550 games  

SAN ANTONIO a€" Bruce Bowen didn't start Tuesday night in San Antonio's game against the New York Knicks. It was the first time in 550 games that he played for the Spurs in which he was on the active roster and didn't start. He was replaced in the starting lineup at small forward by Ime Udoka.

Rookie feels he can help Spurs win without Parker  

On the day he was drafted, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was asked to clarify whether he thought George Hill, who had just been taken with the team's top draft pick could really be a valuable contributor to the veteran team.
