Joe Torre said while he knows Rivera is probably going back to the Yankees, if he decides not to there is an open spot in the bullpen for him in LA. As a Dodger fan you have to get excited that you could be gettin the best closer in baseball, but I hope Colletti spends the money to a get a bat. We have Saito, but it would be nice to have Saito set up for Rivera.

Charlie Wies announced that true freshmen Jimmy Clausen will be starting at QB for Notre Dame on saturday against Penn State. I guess he figures it can't get any worse than last weekend, why not get the Clausen era started as fast as possible.

Reggie Miller has been contacted by Danny Ainge and Doc Rivers about making a comeback with the Celtics. They said he would be a reserve and play about 15 mins a game. He is calling friends and family to see what they think. It is obvious why he is thinking about this so hard. He will get to play with Garnett, Allen, and Pierce, and like all of them the one thing he doesnt have is a championship ring. The Celtics would give him the shot to get that ring.

Quinn ends his hold out with a contract worth $20.2 million and $7.75 million in guaranteed money. The contract could go up to $30 million with incentives. He probably wont be the starter on opening day because of the holdout, he needs to go into camp learn the system try to compete and be ready to take over the team probably half way thru the season.

The Boston Redsox have won the Gagne sweepstakes. With the addition of Gagne the Red Sox now have an even better bullpen, and an insurance plan incase someone goes down. Also they block the Yanks from getting Gagne which is also great news to BoSox fans. It is a great day to be a Boston sports fan, with KG coming, and now Gagne.

This one is funny. Pacman is reportadley going to wrestle for TNA wrestling. His agent said he will have an evil story line, or play a villian to one of the other characters. He will join former Titans Frank Wycheck, and Kyle Vanden Bosch. This is just random. Can't make it in the NFL go wrestle. LOL

Steve Francis, is returning to where he had his glory years, Houston. After 3 bad years with the Magic, and minimal play with the Knicks, and being bought out by the Blazers, Francis became a free agent. He recieved 30 million on the buy out, so money was not an issue with this contract. He wanted to find a place to win. He signed a two year contract with the Rockets which leads to speculation that he is there to teach rookie Aaron Brooks from Oregon, since he will not be ready to take the reigns when this season starts. Lets see if Stevie Franchise can get his game back with T-mac, and Yao and back at home in Houston.

Well, here is one free agent from the class of 08/09 already off the market. According to Marbury himself, he is going to play in Italy next year, as he and his wife visted and they loved it. Marbury compares this move, to the move David Beckham is making to America. Not sure if Marbury, not even the best in the league, going to Italy is like David Beckham, one of the biggest players in soccer, coming to America.

Michael Vick, in what may come as a suprise to many around the NFL, was indicted today on conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce" and "to sponsor a dog in animal fighting venture. This should be interesting to see how it plays out for the Falcons, and Vick, and also how the commissioner handles this situation.

Well, according to the owner of the team Glen Taylor, Garnett is not going anywhere. Taylor says that the team will still look at trades, but none of them involving Garnett. I personally do not believe Taylor, we all know Garnett is going to opt out after this year, they need to get something for him before it's too late.
