Think Lebron gets too much air time on the new Nike commercial where everyone is dressed in white? Well you can edit him out and make your own version. This website provides extra footage and allows you to create your own mashup for the new Nike AF25s. Unfortunately, there isnt any old school Hardaway footage to splice in.
Fantasy Baseball Cafe breaks down why you will overpay for Hank Blalock and Brandon Inge on draft day, while you might be able to squeeze some extra value out of Edwin Encarnaccion and Kevin Kouzmanoff.
Especially when you have 118 bags of it stuffed in your crack and the surrounding area of your underwear. Kengshill Scheider Pujols, a minor league pitcher with the Vero Beach Dodgers was arrested on Saturday in Union City NJ after cops noticed him driving erraticly only to find him carrying 130 bags of rock.
A video clip of highlights from the event in Chicago. Since this clip looks like it was put together by the event promoters, here are a few things you should not be surprised by when viewing it...
1. Probably need some form of hallucengens to enjoy the music on the mix.
2. That same music covers up everythng Rodman says.
3. Thousands of people dressed up for Halloween...Rodman dressed as himself.
4. Girls enjoying their annual one day moratorium to wear the sluttiest outfits they can find.
With 6 turnovers by the Bears so far in the game its no surprise that they are down 28-15. It looks like the Bears used all of their comeback magic against the Cards. Worse then the Bears ending their 10 game home win streak, it also means an end to the Bears undefeated season hopes. Since it was Miami that ruined the perfect season in '85 and the fact that they are 1-6 this year adds double the salt in the wound. Somewhere Nick Buoniconti is lighting up a fat cigar in celebration.
Some pretty erratic performances will push Lovie Smith into some tough decisions. You dont want to have to make a quarterback change in week 15, so if he is even considering a move to Griese, it might have to come sooner than later.
Mark Cuban asked the physics department at the University of Texas Arlington to compare today's NBA balls with older ones. Apparently he just wasnt satisfied their performance. Personally, I have new faith in how much Cuban cares about basketball if he went through all this trouble. Unless you really care, you can skim through all the science in the article and head straight for the comments. One dude questions Cuban's use of time on a study such as this (which he may have a point)...but then gets reamed continually by Cuban's loyal following.
Rutgers moved on to 7-0 today after beating Pitt 20-10. Ray Rice and Brian Leonard have been getting all the praise in the press but "Pitt Blather" is actually saying the key to their season has been Coach Schiano and the D. I couldnt agree more. What scares me is where will Rutgers be next year if Schiano returns to Miami? I am not sure one year of success will be enough for a new coach to maintain the recruiting pipeline that Schaino built up out of Florida, not to mention keeping top talent in state.
The documentary is about, what else, the Cubs inability to seal the deal and the long suffering fans of the storied franchise. Cubs fans' loyalty is without question and I am sure HBO will use all of its dramatic resources to make the rest of us feel their pain. The show airs at 10:00 EST on Tuesday with a schedule of other airings in the attached link.
The NFL record is for consecutive completions in one game. Brunell finished 24/27 with 261 yards in the win against the Houston (31-15). Man, do the Texans stink!. I still wouldnt rush out to start Brunell in my fantasy league. What I would do though is start any QB I can find if they are matching up against Houston. They are shaping up to be one of the worst passing defenses in the league. I can understand giving up 400 yards to Payton Manning, but making Brunell look like a pro-bowler at this point of his career is inexcusable.
I think the only thing that connects these teams in my mind is that I wouldnt want Brunell or Rypien to be the quarterback on my squad. That said this is an interesting analysis comparing the current team to the post glory day Skins in the early 90s. The article is hopeful that the Skins season isnt over, but I am pretty sure Curly R knows deep down this team looks a lot more like 1993.
Rumors are starting to heat up about Volek's next stop given his request to be traded from the Titans a month ago. With the injury to Trent Green the Chiefs could also be a likely stop. The Titans play at San Diego this week. Volek would be a nice upgrade over Charlie Whitehurst for the Chargers.
While he played in 6 games, he only started in one for the Titans in 2005. The year before he started 8 games, had a 61% completion percentage, 18 TDs and 10 ints. He would make for a very solid backup option.
Is this video gratuitus? Yes. Does it make sense? No..not even close. Is it worth watching? Absolutely. Personally, I found myself cheering for the ref in this one.
The battle is won in the trenches. You hear it year in and year out, but linemen dont sell tickets, so teams often neglect to invest here. This article talks about the failed gameplan of the Dolphins and how it all started with the poor play of the big guys up front.
I would love to see an analysis of each teams offensive line before my fantasy draft. It would really help with choosing running backs. Anyone know where an aggregated list like this exists?
Great article breaking down the pros and cons of a bunch of the NFL teams. Childress and Minnesota are unfairly in the bottom five. Packers on the otherhand deserve their last place ranking for bringing in McCarthy, leader of the inept San Francisco offense last year.
Childress on the other hand has done some interesting things with the Vikings, including bringing in pro-bowl offensive linemen and moving the team to a more ball control game. Watch the under-rated Vikings cover a lot of spreads this year with their steady offense.
Bonds hit his 22nd homerun of the season (730 career) tonight off of Aaron Harang. I basically stopped paying attention to Bonds after getting sick of hearing his name every ten minutes on ESPN when he was only batting .249 pre all-star break. Times are a changing though. This homer marked 5 in 6 games for Mr. Bonds. He is also batted .333 in August.
Looks like Bonds is making one last push to bump up his 2007 free agent value as an American League DH. A lot of teams say they wont touch the controversy ridden Bonds. With that said, I am sure there are some GMs of poor American league teams that would love to boost ticket sales by watching the all-time homerun record broken by a player with their club.
