Entry for June 11, 2007 STEWART IS THE PROBLEM! However, I prefer to look at facts rather than propaganda. The reaction of Jeff Gordon's greatness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdQaIChsDJg Here is some redneck fans in action! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7Tmsz1td00&mode=related&search= I'm not saying Gordon is perfect... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5s26a8J_zo&mode=related&search= Gordon and Stewart fighting in the pit area. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NekiBV9b5jE&mode=related&search= Tony "hot head" Stewart. This guy is always losing control. Tony Stewart is clearly the best driver in NASCAR today. However, his temper clouds his judgment on the race track. Tony "hot head" Stewart, is limited by his attitude and uncontrolled temper. It seems like a new driver every week is angry with Stewart's radical driving. Here is the latest problem with Stewart. http://www.nascar.com/video/cup/2007/06/04/cup.dov.two.nascar/frameset.exclud... Unfortunately, the Tiger bullpen rests in the hands of a 40+ year old closer, and two players with health issues. Rodney and Zumaya is the key to the 2008 playoffs. http://www.matthewbest.com

This is an incredible experience for me! I'm an amateur NFL scout. I record almost a hundred college football games every year and make out a report of the best players in the draft. I skip the obvious first round players that are heavily publicized, and focus on the players who are not publicized. Sometimes it's frustrating because I'll focus on a player which nobody talks about until after the combine. But then they're other players you know should be selected in the top 2 rounds but are still overlooked! Shaun Phillips was one of those players! I have video of him at Purdue blocking field-goals and sacking countless quarterbacks. This Purdue defensive end could run down running backs from behind and actually handle pass coverages! Don't laugh when I say this…but his playing style was similar to Lawrence Taylor. Opposing offenses had to account for #15 on the end. Even after they accounted for him, he'd still end up in the backfield. For a scout, finding guys like Shaun on video is like finding a diamond. He stood out among the rocks. I wrote my favorite team, the Detroit Lions about a handful of players with Shaun Phillips near the top. 1. Karlos Dansby LB, 2. Chris Snee OG, 3. Shaun Phillips DE, 4. Ernest Wilford WR, 5. Jerricho Cotchery WR, 6. Keyaron Fox LB, 7. Alex Stepanovich OG, 8. Bruce Thornton CB, and 9. Nick Leckey. Of course it went in one ear and out the other. Say what you want about Marty Schottenheimer, but he knows about linemen and linebackers. He drafted Shaun Phillips in the fourth round! Shaun, it's an honor to say you're a great player. I know! I've got the video! If I had anything to say about it, you would've gone in the first or second round. -MrBest7

I'm an amateur scout and would love to work for the NFL. There are always players that fly under the radar of NFL teams. I was hoping that Owen Schmitt would have a quiet game and I could use him as one of my sleepers. However, on national TV he runs a huge play on national TV. The commentators were making over his size and strength. Even after the game the camera zoomed right up to Owen Schmitt! Holy Cow! How many fullbacks have that happen to them! Oh well…Great job Owen. You just went from a third round pick to second round overnight.

The Tigers have done a perfect job at building an excellent batting lineup and pitching rotation. It would be ashamed to depend on a 40 year old closer, who walked twice as many batters as he usually does previous years. Jason Grilli was really struggling last year, which his ERA. ballooned above five in August. Fernando Rodney was continually inconsistent and fighting nagging injuries. Joel Zumaya hurt his main throwing finger and was out for most of the year. What relief pitchers are out there? My favorite pitchers available in free agency are Shawn Chacon of Pittsburgh and Jeremy Affeldt of Colorado. Checkout videos of Shawn Chacon from the provided link.

I've been amateur scouting college football players for years. It's amazing how many of the players I promote turn heads in the NFL. Darrell Reid is no exception. I discovered Darrell Reid out of the University of Minnesota. He was #51 on an excellent Gopher team. I ranked him as the best player on the defense. (The best player on the offense was Marion Barber.) I was most impressed with his strength and excellent ability to shed blockers. Also, I discovered linebacker Tyjuan Hagler of Cincinnati. He's also playing on the Colts. Check him out sometime. Tyjuan recovered a fumble in the super bowl last year. I was going crazy! I root for all the players I promote. I sent out all kinds of letters to NFL coaches. Tony Dungy is the only one that agrees with me because he drafts a lot of my suggestions. I need an NFL scouting job... Anyone willing to hire me????

The former Senator, George Mitchell has had a very checkered past to say the least. 1.Mitchell was a director at Xerox during a period when management was accused of manipulating financial results and refusing to cooperate with government investigators. The SEC charged that Xerox allowed the company to overstate its profits by $1.4 billion over four years. 2.Mitchell was a director at Staples when the directors agreed to sell back their shares in staples.com to the company for enormous profits. They quickly dropped the idea after the shareholders filed a lawsuit. 3.Mitchell was a director at U.S. Technologies, which is now out of business. The internet company's CEO was indicted on criminal charges of securities fraud. Former FBI director William Webster under the Clinton Administration had to give up his federal position because he chaired the board's audit committee! 4.He was a well compensated Vice-Chairman of a company called Oily Rock Group Ltd. To make a long story short, the company was accused of cheating U.S, investors of about $500 million dollars. Fortune.com called the story, "The Incredible Half-Billion-Dollar Azerbaijani Oil Swindle." Certainly a man who throws stones in a glass house! Mitchell is joke and not credible to produce such a report!

I was really disappointed in one our best players on the Michigan State football team. Defensive lineman Jonal Saint-Dic was labeled academically ineligible. I thought here is another athlete expecting favoritism. But was I wrong! Saint-Dic said, "I studied and studied, but I came up short. It's a shocker. This is something I'm going to learn from, I'm not going to let it put me down. I'm praying for my teammates and I'm going to get my degree, and then I'm going for my master's degree." WOW! What a great kid! Saint-Dic, don't give up! Everyone fails, but it depends how you react to bad news that makes you better. You're a great player. Get ready for the combine because you will be playing on Sunday next year. I'll be rooting for you, because you're a winner.
