This Kidd Trade is On And Poppin'

This trade is going down! It's about time they made the move. Sounds like the Nets are "in a rebuilding phase".

Best Hoax Ever?

This kid lied to everyone about getting scholarship offers from Cal and Oregon. They believed him, and a media circus ensues. Just great.

Busted!

This time, Goodell has to deal with the government. Why don't they just stay out of it? Why must the feds get involved in this? Come on, they destroyed Gitmo interrogation video.

ACL Surgery for Deion Branch

The Seahawks #1 wide receiver Deion Branch is to have knee surgery. He'll be back next year, and the Hawks will be back to compete in '08. Get well soon Deion!

RESPONSE: Top 10 QBs in the NFL

I have placed Roethlisberger and Romo equally at #4. This is mostly based on 2007 numbers, but previous seasons were weighted as well.

1. Tom Brady

2. Peyton Manning

3. Brett Favre

4. Ben Roethlisberger

4. Tony Romo

6. Matt Hasselbeck

7. Drew Brees

8. Carson Palmer

9. David Garrard*

10. Jeff Garcia

*Without the Jags running game, Garrard doesn't make the list. While highly effective and successful this season, without the ground attack, he doesn't make the list.

Indy Fans Have No Class

If you saw them announcing the 2007 Punt Pass and Kick winners during the broadcast of the game today, you probably noticed the fans in Indy booing the 14-15 year old girls champion because she had to represent the New England Patriots. You guys have no class, how dare you taint that girl's memory of this achievement because you are bitter about Brady and the Patriots. The fans that booed today should be ashamed.

Vacant Falcons Job Intrigues Carroll

Apparently he's interested in this job. I'm glad I'm not being recruited by USC. That would be a let down.

Pete Carroll to the Atlanta Falcons?

This is never going to happen. But good luck to Atlanta in their pursuits. Imagine what he would've done with a weapon like Vick. Oh well.

June Jones to SMU?

I like how they don't say where SMU is. Could be anywhere. Who knows? Anybody?

The Huskies are done.

2007 Fantasy Line Up

Here was my 2007 Line Up, one on Fox Sports, one on ESPN:

ESPN-

In a very shallow league (4 teams), here is what I ended up with.

QB - Tony Romo

RB - LaDanian Tomlinson

RB - Adrian Peterson (MIN)

WR - Randy Moss

WR - Terrell Owens

R/W - Braylon Edwards

TE - Kellen Winslow

K - Mason Crosby

D/ST - Chicago

BN - Willie Parker

BN - Edgerrin James

BN - Brandon Jacobs

BN - Matt Hasselbeck

BN - Ben Roethlisberger

Wow.

Fox Sports-

After making several moves in a fairly deep league (8 teams), here is what I ended up with:

QB - Tom Brady (3rd round)

RB - Adrian Peterson (MIN)

RB - Ernest Graham

WR - Randy Moss (4th round!!!)

WR - Lee Evans

R/W - Ryan Grant

TE - Kellen Winslow - (traded Marion Barber for him)

K - Rian Lindell

D/ST - Green Bay

BN - Frank Gore (1st round pick)

BN - Rudi Johnson (2nd round pick)

BN - Kolby Smith

BN - Plaxico Burress

BN - Donald Driver

BN - Rob Bironas

Needless to say, these look like fairly dominant teams on paper. However, both teams ended up 7-6. They both scored the most total points, but barely eeked out the season over .500. My point is, don't rely too heavily on the numbers, my record is evidence. I am now in the playoffs, and based on the "numbers," I should win out handily, but that remains to be seen.
