Ok ok listen up. Eagles757 has made a good point. If you havent read his article yet I have posted the link here. http://www.yardbarker.com/NFL/articles/What_Ya_Gonna_Do/380469
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES FAN'S listen and listen good. We have done nothing but bash our team when they do bad. I know I am guilty of it myself but listen. We have faced this point in the season before where evereybody gave up and Garcia led us to the playoffs. We all know this is the NFL and anything is capable, anything can happen. After reading Eagles757 post it made me realize, what the hell am I gonna do. I'm gonna watch the game next week and weeks thereafter. I'm not gonna throw away my gear or not wear it. No matter how bad they are right now, i still have a sense of pride with the Eagles. This is nothing new what we are experiencing but it's also what led us to be so close together as fans. We are the only fans in the NFL who are the most passionate about their team. Lets stand behind our team and support them when the going gets rough. I know I know McNabb and Andy Reid need to go but like 757 said...WHAT YA GONNA DO? You are still gonna root for whomever is behind center cause you wanna see results. You will never wish that the Eagles lose so you as well as me will be at the games, watchin tv, listening to the radio, still picking them as your team on Madden, still buying their Jersey's and paraphanalia, You wont stop cause you love your team. Is this how you treat someone you love, do you disown them? We cant do anything about the draft now or trade cause it's too late. Lets worry about what we can do now. Andy Reid aint going anywhere until the season is over we know this, McNabb aint either so all this they need to go are things we already know. Is it going to help us win next week, NO. A team that knows there fans are disappointed yes but is still behind them supporting them will have something more to play for. We have 6 games left. I expect to be reading post about who we are playing in the Wildcard. All I am saying is never say never. After what happened 2 years ago, I believe. We are not mathematically out of it and with everybody else losing we still have shot. I need the fans to believe with me and know that our Birds can do this but they need our help. Lets create less post about how we suck (I know I did like 5 articles since that loss) but like I said i realized it aint changing a thing. For once, lets prove that we truly do love this team and here for them thick or thin, for better or for worse. A true fan will be there for both and endure the pain with the team.

For Eagles fans and NFL fans who want to the definition of suck, let me explain. You know you suck when: 1. You tie an NFL game against one of the worst teams 1-8- and now 1 Bengals. 2. You purposely throw 3 interceptions and fumble and still can't lose the game. 3. Your whole team except one offensive lineman ( Jon Runyan) knew that there was only one extra period. 4. You cant gain a yard on 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th down FOR THE WHOLE GAME 5. You cant even lead your team as the leader (McNabb) who isn't supposed to say "I didn't know" but instead say "I was playing horrible from start to finish and should have taken myself out of the game cause I was innaeffective and that would have been the best choice and given the Philadelphia Eagles a chance at winning" 6. You know you suck when you aint do deadly squat the whole game but give up four turnovers. And you actually thought you were going to engineer a game winning drive if you had more time. How much time did you need, another seasons worth? 7. To save typing and frustration for the next 3. Your know you suck if your name is Andy Reid, Donovan McNabb and anyone who backs both of them after this horrible display of professionalism.

Does anyone remember when when McNabb got hurt and Garcia repalced him...how we ran the ball more and became more successful with the play option that we love to run so much? What happened? Why do teams get away from what works? Why do you trade for L. Booker and not play him? Why does a backup tight end that had a break out game not get another chance to shine over a former probowl tight end that can't even make it to the toilet bowl? Why is R. Brown still on the roster? Why did we trade our blocking fullback in T. Tapeh to Minnesota to pick-up a defensive lineman to convert to fullback and then wonder why our running game is non existent. Why is it that the Eagles are the only team in football that can't gain a yard on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th down? Why does a 10 year QB look like a rookie playing making rookie mistakes, over and under throwing recievers, not knowing you can tie a NFL game and the difference between Sudden Death and Overtime? Do I even need to ask the same about the Head Coach of a football team? With our backs against the wall, why are we playing like we dont care? Why do the fans still care if the players dont?

In a game that nobody wanted to win; no body won. In the first tie in the NFL since 2002, the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the one-win Cincinnati Bengals, 13-13. The game could probably be summed up best as pathetic and painful. Any right minded Eagles fan sensed at the half with the Eagles down 10-3 that this game would go down in the annals of gut-wrenching results. Right before half-time, the score was 3-3 but the Eagles were driving. However, the Bengals intercepted a Donovan McNabb pass that led to touchdown with 33 seconds left in the half. And then the Bengals ended the half on the ensuing Eagles' drive that made it to field goal range with another pick. McNabb set a career-high in pass attempts with 58. Of those passes, 28 went to the guys in the white and green jerseys. But three went to those wearing black and orange and many more could have ended there as well. At the end of the game, McNabb admitted that he didn't realize that there were ties in the NFL. "I've never been part of a tie. I never even knew it was in the rule book," said McNabb. I was looking forward to getting the opportunity to get out there and try to drive to win the game. But unfortunately with the rules, we settled with a tie." And he also commented that the team could take some positives out of the game. That's mindboggling that the leader of the team didn't understand the situation and that he was upbeat about his team's performance. A couple of weeks ago, McNabb proudly voted for the first time in this presidential election for fellow Chicagoan Barack Obama. But this type of leadership reeks of the current administration. The average NFL game has 8-10 possessions but in this game, the Eagles had 20 possessions. Yet, they ended up with just one touchdown. The Birds were just 3-18 in third-down efficiency and all the attempts were passing plays. Head coach Andy Reid, perhaps petrified by the team's past failures this season in short-yardage situation, may have felt he had little choice but to pass all those times. But as in life, those nagging little details we try to avoid always come back to haunt us. Reid and the Eagles saw the ghosts on a fourth and one in overtime. The team was between their kryptonite rock and a hard place. With just over a minute left in OT on their 22 yard line, Reid was in a catch-22 situation. The choice was to try to get a first down and hopefully continue the possession for a game winning score or punt and in effect settle at best for a tie. When asked if he was tempted to go for it, Andy Reid replied, "I was. But I did what I thought we had to do." Reid took the tie which has been famously said is like kissing your sister.

There was nothing to smile about Philadelphia's 13-13 tie against a 1-8-1 horrific Cincinatti Bengals team. Donovan McNabb expected to keep playing until someone scored, no matter how long it took. Mercifully, the NFL's rules set a time limit on terrible play. One of the NFL's top 10 offense's in (Philly), managed to score a measily 13 points against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. They did indeed manage to do one thing and that was turn the ball over four times. Donovan McNabb with precise accuracy hit all of the Bengals defenders in stride with his three interceptions. He even managed to fumble backwards and it got picked up in stride while rolling in the endzone, go figure. Willie Parker of the Pittsburgh Steelers laughed when he heard the news of the tie saying what every Philadelphia fan wanted to see and hear during Sunday's game "A tie, we dont play to tie, we play to win" "I didn't know that," said McNabb, who played a leading role in keeping it tied. "I've never been part of a tie. I never even knew it was in the rule book. I was looking forward to getting the opportunity to get out there and try to drive to win the game. But unfortunately with the rules, we settled with a tie." Let's call a timeout and assess this, we are gonna break it down like analyst would. My first question is for McNabb. How as an NFL QB for 10 years do you not know that a game can end in tie? Where were you in 2002 when the Steelers and Falcons tied? My question to Andy, as the Head Coach of a football team, how did you not know? I guess that woud explain the over throwings of the Red Flag, challenging plays that shouldnt be challenged cause you dont know the rules. You didnt know that a player is down when his knee or elbow hits the ground. The Head Coach does not know the rules wow, I just find that hard to believe and if it is true, Andy Reid has probably coached his last game as Eagles coach or for any team in that matter. In fact that excuse is so hard to believe that the whole management should be fired. You mean to tell me that NOBODY told Andy Reid and McNabb that the game could tie. Wait they mentioned the rules during the coin toss. You mean to tell me he didnt know the difference between Overtime and Sudden Death? Hell has he ever played Techmo Bowl or Madden? This is not the NBA or College Football, this is the NFL. How many games could the Eagles have won if they knew the rule book. I am embarrased to have a coach and a QB who is supposed to manage the "game" and admit publicly that he did not know and that they played to tie. This is by far the lowest moment as an Eagles fan. I can take losses and 1-15 seasons but this...and for some defensive players to admit that they too did not know is just horrible and uncceptable. "I didn't know" isn't going to win you a Division or Superbowl. What you should know is that you blew a win. A much needed and give me game ended up in a tie cause a QB for 10 years and NFL Head Coach didn't know. What's coming up in next weeks NFL Soap Opera "As the Eagles Lose" What's next!!!!!

With the recent fine and contract dispute between Eagles coach Andy Reid came more excuse as to why the Eagles lost yet another close and winnable game. Head coach of the Eagles was reported making the comments "They said if you were hungry throw the red flag" and "I dropped a cheesesteak when it was being handed to me on the sideline and they said I fumbled it but I didnt have complete control so I threw the flag" and last but not least "I couldnt see the big screen cause I was looking at this cheesesteak" Eagles owner Jeffrie Lurie who was obviously disgusted and embarrased in front of Vice President Joe Biden with the play calling and excuses in the Eagles 36-31 loss to the Giants, fined Andy Reid 1,000 cheesesteaks. He also recinded the lifetime supply offer if he won a superbowl saying the coach just isnt getting it done. Andy Reid is disputing his contract and fine by threatening not to coach in the upcoming week. Philadelphians are actually happy cause that means there are more cheesesteaks available. Roger Goodell is actually looking into the fine saying that it is immoral and that a man of his size needs to eat. Mr. Goodell might reduce the fine to 900 Cheesesteaks but Andy Reid must pay. Also Jeffrie Lurie has installed a treadmill and thighmaster on the sideline and is stated that Andy better coach from it or else more cheesesteaks may be lossed.

After sitting down and being depressed from yet another Philly letdown I started thinking What If???
1. What if the Raiders and the Lions played each other...who would be the first team to reach negative 30?
2. What if the NFL had a mercy rule, that would mean the Rams would have ended at least 7 out of the 9 games they played early, like in the first quarter early. The two wins they got were because teams had mercy on them.
3. What if Andy Reid's contract really did include a lifetime supply of Cheesesteaks with a Superbowl win...? The Eagles would have at least 5 by now.
4. What if Joe Paterno coached the Eagles, would he live past the week 3?
5. What if the Lions actually go 0-16...hmmpf I guess they would still suck nevermind
6. What if the Eagles threw the ball on the goaline against Chicago and on 4th down against the Giants...Let's ask Andy Reid that question.
7. What if Andy Reid lost 200lbs...then he'd be able to call the right plays without having all the fat cloud his judgement.
8. What if I whoop his fat @SS for calling stupid predictable plays... he would just call more the next game.

Andy Reid needs to go now. It sad when Tiki Barber, a former runningback now tv analyst can predict what the Eagles were going to do on 3rd and 4th down. If he guessed it dont you think the Giants knew? Of course they did and the Eagles lost the game. He took the ball out of a hot Donovan McNabb's hands to a running game that has been no existant all night. He lost the game and needs to lose his job. He is responsible for the Chicago loss as well as this one. As for the first challenge, is he blind? There is a big screen for a reason and Jacobs was obviously down before dropping the ball. That was dumb. It was like me throwing a challenge flag on Andy fat @ss dropping a cheesesteak. What the hell are the people upstairs doing? Are they not talking saying "Hey fat Phuck don't throw the flag"? I am so frustrated right now it aint funny. Andy you had one to many Phuck ups and you need to go. I need everyone who agrees to say so. If you dont you better have a d@mn good reason why you dont and then explain why you shouldnt be called an idiot. Eagles fans holla if you hear me.

Donovan McNabb watched as one of his mentors and predecessors -- Ron Jaworski, old No. 7 for the Eagles -- won an Arena League championship last spring as president of the Philadelphia Soul. McNabb watched as his two buddies -- Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins of the Phillies -- brought a World Series title to the City of Brotherly Love. Last Friday afternoon, the championship parade rolled raucously right past the Eagles' practice facility. And, on Tuesday night, McNabb watched a fellow Chicago native son, Barack Obama, win the White House. Donovan McNabb has had a successful career, but he wants more. You can tell by the tone of his voice and what he is saying these days that McNabb -- whom many thought would have won a Super Bowl title in Philly a long time ago -- is thinking it's his turn, now, to reach the mountaintop. "The thing that I kind of think about now," said McNabb, now in his 10th year in Philadelphia, "what would be special, if we make it to the Super Bowl and win, and I get a phone call from [President] Barack Obama. That would be excellent." First on the agenda -- beating the Giants. As if McNabb needed any more immediate reminders that he hasn't won a title yet, the defending Super Bowl champs are coming to town Sunday night. New York has beaten Philly five of the past six meetings. And the Eagles have lost seven straight prime-time games. Indeed, if the Eagles have any aspirations of winning a Super Bowl title this season, they had better start winning in their own division. The Eagles are 0-2 in the NFC East the only team in the division not to win a division game this season. The Eagles have scoffed at the notion that the Giants game is a must-win. That may be true. But this is also true: If the Eagles don't win a game in their division, they aren't going to the Super Bowl.

The always entertaining Antonio Pierce was in top form Thursday. He kicked off his weekly news conference with a playful jab at Eagles fans. "Those fans treat you very well when you go down there," said the Giants linebacker. "They let you know you are number one at all times, and we are excited to go down there." The Linc isn't nearly as intimidating as the old Vet, but it's still disconcerting for opposing teams to get egged as they pull through the parking lot. That said, I actually think the Eagles' NFC East rivals look forward to coming to Philly. There is just a completely different atmosphere than at Texas Stadium, FedEx and even the Meadowlands -- especially for a night game. So, do these teams truly hate each other? "We don't like nobody. We don't like nobody," Pierce said. "Sometimes I don't even know if I like my wife or my mother sometimes. I just like the 53 guys in this room come the 17 weeks of the NFL season, so if is the Eagles, the Redskins, the Cowboys, the teams we see twice a year, there is no brotherly love in this matchup." Asked to describe Eagles fans, Pierce said, "They are great, they are great. They love their team. They cheer, they boo, they know all about your family and your personal life and they let you know about it and they don't stop. "It starts from the time those buses pull in to the time those buses pull out. When you go there you know you have to be ready for 60 minutes of pure hell because that is how they make you feel down there."

Yes finally, I am going to do it. I am giving up bachelor hood and asking my beautiful girlfriend to marry me once I return from Baghdad December 13th for good. Now I know what ya'll are thinking, no more hanging with the guys, watching the Birds play and all that stuff. It will be more of coming home and shopping for ugly @$$ curtains and all that crap. Yeah right is exactly what I said. So yeah I called her on the phone just to give her a heads up of how life would be when I get home and needless to say, after a tough goaline stand, I failed to convert. Instead I had to settle for 3. At first I tried the tough guy "look here woman, I'm the man" approach but yeah, just as ya'll guessed, that conversation didnt get too far. Much the like Eagles against the Bears on the 1 yard line, I was disppointed. So we came to a comprimise. I told her Mon - Sat, I'll do whatever and go wherever she wants BUT and repeat BUT, SUNDAY's are mine!!! No shopping, grass cutting, cleaning, NAGGING nada. See, I had to put my foot down guys. She get's 6 out of 7 days. Again, you're probably thinking "what the hell kinda comprimise was that" It was the kind she told me to make o.k. dag. So yeah I put my big toe down but what the hell it's a start. I get Sunday's all to myself to watch my beloved Eagles play. She said I could even get Monday nights with good behavior. See married life aint that bad. But really YARDBARKERS, what I need from you guys are ideas!!!! I dont know how I want to propose so I'm asking the fella's and fellettes's for any ideas that you may have. I will choose the top 10 proposals and top 10 places. Once they have been chosen I will post them and have YARDBARKERS start eliminating until I get to the final 3. Then YARDBARKERS will vote for the winner. Now I dont have autographed sneakers to give away like D-Bowe, well I do but they won't be worth crap so instead I have chosen to mail the winner of the best proposal idea a $25.00 dollar money order. You have my word, It's the least I can do. It should be more than enough to buy some Beers and a cheesteak with it lol. Thanks YARDBARKERS and may the best proposal idea win.

The past two weeks in the NFL was exactly what the Eagles needed. Just think, they were the only team to win when the rest of the NFC East lost including a Cleveland blowout of the Toiletbowl Champion N.Y. Giants. As Dennis Green would say "they are who we thought they were!!!!" The Redskins loss to the sorriest team in the league the "Same ol' sorry ass Rams" and the best game of all, a Cowboys loss to Arizona. Not only did they lose but Tony R(Homo), the H is silent, broke his little ol' pinky. Never has one little itty bitty Pinky been so valuable to an Eagles contention in the already dangerous NFC East. The Cowboys with 3 losses, who would've thought? Now Brian (I am the offense) Westbrook returns along with Kevin Curtis to add that additional speed at the wideout. McNabb and the offense should flourish. Hey the Eagles wideouts even have a new nickname. They are being called Curtis Jackson a.k.a. (50 Cent) and with Westbrook providing the rest, look for the Eagles to fly high once again.

According to Fox Sports, these are the top 10 players who will never recieve a Super Bowl ring. In Morten Anderson case who is 47, if he hasn't won one then, chances are he wont in this lifetime. He doesnt have much longer to go. This guy should've requested a trade from the sorry Saints years back and the Atlanta Falcons after they got blown out by Denver in the Superbowl, to a team who was contending. He is the NFL's All-Time scoring leader but hell playing for 50 seasons he should be the leader or hold a record for something. Nonetheless, he deserves to be on here I guess. Here are your top 10 players, their accomplishments, and what they all dont have and wont recieve. But before we get started I'd like to be the first to say F$%# Fox Sports cause they dont know $HIT and that one player on the list will get one. I wont say any names but you'll find out in the discussions to come. # 10 Morten AndersenAt the tender age of 47, Andersen holds the distinction of being the all-time leading scorer in NFL history and the all-time leading scorer for two different teams, Atlanta and New Orleans. Currently Andersen also holds 13 other NFL records that include 16 seasons with 99 points or more and most consecutive games with a point at 346. He is now a free agent again, but you can bet some team may pick him up in an effort to shore up the kicking game. Andersen came close to winning the Super Bowl in 1998 when he kicked the game-winning field goal to send the Falcons to the big game. They were then steamrolled by John Elway and the Broncos. #9 Carson PalmerThe quarterback for Ocho Cinco has had his ups and downs in Cincinnati. Despite arguments with Johnson on the sideline, Palmer managed to set career highs this past season in attempts, completions and passing yards. However, he also set a career high in interceptions and has had a decline in touchdowns thrown in each of the past three seasons. If Palmer is to be successful in Cincinnati, it may be best for him to be without Johnson. He will be looking to rebound from a weird season last year that saw the Bengals start 2-6, then finish the campaign 7-9. I know Palmer has plenty of time left to win a title, but I just don't see the Bengals standing in front of the commissioner receiving the Vince Lombardi trophy any time soon. # 8 Tony GonzalezAt 6-5, 250 pounds and blessed with speed, agility and great hands, Gonzalez has been the most productive tight end the NFL has ever seen. He now holds the record for most career touchdowns by a tight end with 66, most career receptions by a tight end with 820 and needs only 179 yards to pass Shannon Sharpe for most receiving yards by a tight end. The California native is a nine-time Pro-Bowl selection, eight-time All-Pro selection and his 102 receptions led the league in 2004. He also holds Kansas City Chiefs' records in receptions, receiving yards, touchdowns and consecutive games with a reception. # 7 Jason TaylorThis guy has more beauty contests than Super Bowls, but his play speaks for itself. In 11 NFL seasons, Taylor has notched 117 sacks, which places him second among active players. He became a starter his rookie year and has established himself as one of the dominant defensive ends in the game. Taylor has racked up honors during his tenure that include 2006 Defensive Player of the Year, 2007 Walter Payton Man of the Year award, six Pro Bowls, two-time NFL Alumni Association Defensive Lineman of the Year and the NFL Alumni Association Pass Rusher of the Year. #6 Randy MossMoss may just be the best WR we've ever seen. He has size, great hands, leaping ability and speed. However, he lacks one thing on his list of accolades a€" a Super Bowl ring. He has also been characterized as a player less concerned with team play and more concerned with making highlight films. Despite that, the New England Patriots decided to roll the dice and trade for Moss. Brady-to-Moss was then heard every week and 98 receptions, 1,493 yards and a record-setting 23 touchdowns later Moss was finally in the Super Bowl. One word can describe what happened in the game a€" Denied. Moss' career has been filled with ups and downs, but this man can play and has 774 receptions, 12,193 yards and 124 touchdowns in 10 seasons to prove it. # 5 Edgerrin JamesWhatever you think about James, one thing is certain: he can play. In nine seasons, he has 11,607 yards rushing, 88 total touchdowns and a 4.1 yards per carry average. James, however, skipped out of Indianapolis too early as the Colts won the Super Bowl the year after he left. Now with the lowly Arizona Cardinals, "Edge" has put together back-to-back 1,100 yard seasons on a bad team. He may have to wait a while in the sun to win a title. #4 Donovan McNabbMcNabb, despite his injuries, is one of the most consistent QBs in the game today. He was once booed by Philadelphia Eagles fans when drafted ahead of running back Ricky Williams in 1999. The boos ended when McNabb guided the Eagles to the NFC Conference title game every year from 2001-04. Unfortunately for McNabb, injuries have limited him since the 2004 Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots, and the Eagles have missed the postseason two of the last three years. #3 Chad JohnsonOcho Cinco enters his eighth season with the Cincinnati Bengals and last year had 93 catches, a career high 1,440 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. The bad thing for Johnson is that many of his catches have not translated to wins. All through his career he's been looked at as a selfish player and a cancer in the locker room. Make no mistake though, Johnson is a player. He is the Bengals' all-time leader in receptions with 559 and has 8,365 yards and 49 touchdowns. #2 Terrell OwensT.O. has consistently established himself as one of the most productive players in the NFL and last season had 81 catches for 1,355 yards and 15 touchdowns. That added to his career numbers of 882 receptions, 13,070 receiving yards and 129 touchdowns. During the 2004 season with the Philadelphia Eagles, Owens suffered a severely sprained ankle and fractured fibula but did return in time to play in the Super Bowl, even though team doctors urged him not to. The Eagles lost the game and so went Owens' best chance at a title. #1 LaDainian TomlinsonWhat can you say about Tomlinson that hasn't already been said? He plays hard, runs fast and has set many records as a running back for the San Diego Chargers. He's rushed for 10,650 yards, 115 touchdowns, made the Pro Bowl five times and won the NFL MVP award in 2006. All that said, he just can't seem to get his team over the hump when it matters. The Chargers have been close, but have come up short each time in their attempts.empt

Lito Sheppard brandished a handful of those scratch-off lottery cards yesterday, as he concluded a conversation with reporters. "I'm still working on early retirement," Sheppard said. You could argue that a guy who got an $8.7 million signing bonus in 2004 already won the lottery, but clearly, that isn't exactly how the Eagles' disgruntled cornerback sees it, or he wouldn't have hired agent Drew Rosenhaus to try to get him traded to a team that will update the deal. Rosenhaus, by the way, said the situation was "status quo" after last Thursday's preseason game against Carolina, during which his client intercepted Jake Delhomme. Despite the announcement that Kevin Curtis will have sports-hernia surgery today, the Eagles remain unlikely to trade Sheppard. No game-changing wideouts are being dangled as trade bait, anywhere in the NFL right now. -- Philadelphia Daily News
