I just happened to turn the tube on the other day in time to catch Mcnabb being interviewed by Rich Eisen on the NFL Network. If ever I needed a reason to confirm why I'm a McNabb supporter, that would be it. Since the day he was drafted, McNabb has taken Phlack in Philly, as we all know. Between TO-Gate, Limbaugh-itis, and the Boo-Birds, It would be quite understandable if Donovan turned into
Sammy Sosa whenever a reporter was near him.
" I'm berry berry sorry. I no speak the good english"
"Next question" (Sorry, couldn't help channeling my inner Rosenhaus there)
But when Donovan was talking to Eisen, it showed just how lucky the Eagles are to have a QB who doesn't sweat the little things and can keep a smile on his face, even in the tough times.
Let's face it, this hasn't exactly been a cake-walk offseason for him between drafting Kolb, rehabbing his knee, and the media dissecting every soundbite of his like a high school Bio student trying to salvage a passing grade.
I'm not the type of fan who starts drinking the Super Bowl Kool-aid before preseason even begins, because I know lots can happen between now and January. However, I feel pretty good just knowing that McNabb is getting healthy, and has the stones to shrug off the BS and keep it real.
Peace
