FireNolan.org

As you'd expect from it's name, the site is head over heels pro-Mike Nolan.
Original Story: http://firenolan.org/.

Rangers/Cablevision Sue NHL

It's about time professional teams started chipping away at the league's stranglehold on all things media. The Rangers are claiming that the "NHL has become an illegal cartel" and has violated anti-trust laws by controlling all of the team's websites. I'll be curious to see how this one ends up.

Weird Sport of the Day: Buzkashi

The game ball is a beheaded, disembowled goat. There's even a photo. From what I can tell, Afghanistani sports sound like a good fallback option for Michael Vick should the NFL not want him back.

Baltimore Vendor; So You Think you Can Dance

Is this part of the beer vendor job req now? It seems a little unnecessary.

This Guy Really Wanted That Parking Spot

I have no idea what started this royal rumble, but this dude holds his own. If they call on me to direct the sequel to Lionheart, he'll be starring in it.

"You got a lotta heart, Lionheart!"

Unlimited Text Messages for Brian Urlacher, Not Such a Good Idea

After the baby-making is done, actually having a child with a stripper who wants nothing more than to just dig into your checkbook must really be frustrating. Click through to the BIg Lead and then to the real article to see what he actually wrote. He has some choice words for his dancing lady friend.

Cold, Hard Football Facts

Did you know this about Pacman? It's pretty damn impressive.

"Fearless (and felonious) Pacman Jones had as many punt returns for touchdowns (3) as he did fair catches."

Plenty more fun facts for those craving football in July. Plus, there's a picture of my new dream woman. Yardbarkers, don't even make eye contact with her. She's not interested.

New Concussion Treatment Returns Hockey Player to Ice in Time for NHL Playoffs

That headline makes me cringe. What are doctors doing for people with post concussion syndrome aren't in the playoffs? Regardless, it appears they may be on to something which is great news. They've developed a new therapy called "controlled exercise" which has brought Tim Connolly back to the ice and is currently helping Corey Koskie recover.

Spiderman 3: $148 Million Weekend

"A record shattering $148 Million dollars opening weekend. Killing the old record held by Johnny Depp and his father-snorting co-star. It made more in three days than Alfonso Soriano will make in the next 8 years, which is a considerable amount in itself. Wow."

Calgary Flames new Jerseys

Flames fans look away. Angry fan at work with Photoshop at work.

The Hockey Rants Hockey & Sex Quiz

I don't know what you do with the answers, but it's pretty funny. Some good photoshop action to start things off too.

Sergei Zubov Update

It's game 7 baby, man up! Stars coach Dave Tippett said that Zubov is a game time decision, but added "Zubie's old school. I find it hard to believe he is going to miss Game 7." Goodbye Canucks.

Top Ten NHL Storylines heading into the Playoffs

Being from New York originally, this has me pretty excited.

"Its the first time since 1994 that all three local hockey teams (in the NYC metro area) have been in the playoffs at the same time, and its the first time in history that none of them are facing off against each other in the first round."

For obvious reasons, t's always a big story when these guys play each other and that often happens in the first round. Imagine how crazy it will be if they all advance.

Both Stanley Cup Finalists Miss Playoffs

The NHL wanted parity and they have it. Never have both teams from the finals missed the playoffs the following year. What do you think? Is this good for hockey?

Forget Strip Poker, How About Strip Shootouts?

Here's how Blues coach Andy Murray prepares his teams for shootouts. They practice the scenario and each player goes until they score. If they miss, they're forced to remove an article of clothing.

If you're a Blues fan, Eric Brewer and Matt Walker are NOT the guys you want in a shootout.

By the way, didn't Rutgers basketball Coach Kevin Bannon get fired a few years ago when he endorsed a similar game and had players remove clothing after missing free throws? Why is it always male athletes that get involved in this?
