According to research, there is approximately 77% of trainers which will admit to referring players to Chiropractors and 31% of NFL teams actually use Chiropractors as part of their sports medicine team! To date there are no FEMALE chiropractors associated with the NFL. However, this will not be the case in the next 4 years! Those of you who know me know that I am a trailblazer; therefore, I opt to become the first African American Female Chiropractor to ever be associated with the NFL!

As well all know, the sports industry has indeed grown in the past decade! Sports plays a very important role in today's society! Yet, sports would not exist without those who are so passionate about it... the players! As much money as we invest into sports it is crucial that we invest even more money into keeping the players healthy! The sports medicine staff should not only be comprised of Medical Doctors, but should also include Chiropractors, Podiatrist, Dentist etc. These positions should not be limited to males but should include qualified female professionals as well. Now don't get it twisted, if you are not qualified you should not get the job and it doesn't matter if you are male or female!!!

There has been some skepticism among professional athletes and other medical professionals that having a female professionals work as close with the team as male professionals do will cause a very uncomfortable environment! While this may be true, what matters in not how comfortable the environment is but how well professional can ensure the health of players! Besides, players and professionals will adjust and before you know it the environment will seem so comfortable. It has also been said that the NFL is not really ready to incorporate females into their operation! To this I say, just like America wasn't ready for slavery to end and like men where not ready for women to take their rightful place as equal vessels we must force ourselves into these positions and the NFL will just have to get with it. Because with time, comes change and change is definitely good!!!

As the First African American Female Chiropractor in the NFL, I will provide

integrative care to the players, addressing injury and prevention and continued athletic development through rehabilitation, chiropractic care, and nutritional and exercise counseling. My goal is to treat the whole player( mind, body and spirit) and not just the symptoms or presenting problems. I, like other medical professional understand the importance of a wellness regime developed specifically for individual athletes. With my Bachelors in Science from Xavier University of Louisiana, my Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine from Tulane University, along with my Masters in Sports Health Science and My Doctor of Chiropractic degree which I will soon obtain from LIFE UNIVERSITY, I will become the first qualified African American Female Chiropractor in the NFL! This trailblazing event will open the door for other female medical professionals.

Not only will my trailblazing benefit female medical professionals but it will also establish a greater sense of need for a well rounded medical staff in the NFL and other areas of sports! This will open a door that will compensate ALL medical professional( especially chiropractors who are at the moment underpaid) for their time and effort. Meaning that salaries for medical professional will increase to 6 figures instead of the now 30,000 dollar salaries and team gear! This is not at all acceptable for male or female medical professional! As we keep in mind that this is not about money, but about justice! Women and Men have work along side of each other since the beginning of time. It was the 1900's Women's Suffrage march (which my beloved founders and Sorors of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, INC. played such a tremendous roll) which opened the eyes to America and men that woman are just as qualified as men are and should be treated as equals in education, Field of work, political views, and should receive equal compensations. Thank you for your time! Oh... go ahead and BARK ABOUT IT!

I must admit that I care about animals and do not agree with the cruelty that Vick has participated in. However, that is not what has disturbed me, but the fact that he MAY have lied about having anything to do with this manner! But one must keep in mind that just because you plead guilty doesn't mean that you are necessarily guilty but it does mean that your lawyer has done his research and feels that it is the best way to settle the issue at hand. I really feel that he pleaded guilty because they really gave him no other option! Vick, in my opinion is the greatest quarterback in the league ! I support him tremendously and so does most of his fans especially those in the African American Community! Keep in mind that Michael Vick made the falcons what they are because who was concerned about the Falcons until Michael Vick? I am going to go out an limb and say that while the NFL does not Condon this dog fighting there are other players doing similar things that the NFL should concentrate on because if you are going to prove a point... do it with every player that has violated any issues similar to this! I say that the judge should let him off and the NFL should suspend him for a few games and call it a day! Now we know that because there is a need to "prove a point" that there is a great possibility that he might do some jail time and that his NFL Career will suffer. I am a just praying that God will grant him favor and that he will have every good and perfect gift that his heart desires. I said all that to say this " Yes I would want Vick on my team even today" If I had an opportunity to tell Vick anything today, I would say " Don't worry Vick for we all make mistakes and do things that we are not necessarily proud of; however God will have mercy on whom he chooses to have mercy for He is a just God! Take this scripture with you Romans 8:31 "And what then shall we say to these things; if God be for us, who can be against us" remember Vick that there is a blessing in every lesson. SO hold your head up high, stick out your chest and put your shoulders back for you are still in my opinion the Greatest QB in the league. I love you and am keeping you and your family in my prayers"
