Another Golden Gopher, gives the LA SPARKS fits.....

LA has a problem with another gopher. First it was Lindsay Whalen , Thursday night. Just running wild on them. Now watch as another gopher, Janel McCarville single-handedly dismantles the defense and makes an amazing shot to seal the win for the Liberty.

And this is what Lindsay did to them Thursday night

Wanted in LA: A highly skilled Gopher Trapper. This job requires you to perform specific work and in specific conditions that will require physical activity. This position is demanding and considered extremely hard work and laborious. You will be required to walk, run, kneel, dig, and pray. WHATEVER IT TAKES!! JUST STOP THOSE GOPHERS!!

iBall "All-Beast" honors : Candace Parker

It was a fine debut for Candace Parker and the WNBA. Candace Parker and the LA Sparks played the spoiler to the Phoenix Mercury. The Mercury was celebrating the first basketball championship for the Phoenix organization. That's right fella's. The ladies got one before the Suns. Candace Parker set a debut scoring record, by shooting a 62% from the floor (with a bum shoulder), with 34 point. Breaking, the 1997 scoring record set by Cynthia Cooper who had 25.

The kid was just shy 2 assist, from having the trip'dub. 34 point, 12 boards, and 8 assist. Had she done that, she would have joined Oscar Robertson. The only NBA rookie to debut with a triple-double.

Overall, I thought it was a very competitive game. I also learned why there was so much hype about 6'4" with, handles. She had at least three nasty crossovers, that made me grab my ankles, as I sat there watching on the couch. OUCH! I suspect there will be a lot of these posted on YOUTUBE, soon.

I know there's still two more games to be played this weekend. But, the youngsta get's my iBall "All-Beast" award for the opening weekend.

Honorable mention has to go to the other CP on the floor. Cappie Pondexter. Cappie stepped off the plane, on to the court, and dropped 32 points on the Sparks. She split's the "Troopa " (no excuses) award, with yardbarkers very own Diana "friggin" Taurasi. DT was battling a stomach virus. She still managed to put up 24 point. Most of them came in the second half, I might add. Let see, a rested Cappie Pondexter and a hydrated, healthy Diana Taursi. I think the outcome might have been different.

Get Well Soon, Diana

Hoopers come and go. But true Baller's, become Icons....

I'm saying tho, Goody! Why LDub gotta be a "Diva"? Hahaha

Anywhooo.. I was talking to Lynette during the NCAA tourney. I was telling her about Maya Moore and how after watching this kid. I'm calling her Lil' Wood. That's right! I know those are some really big shoe's for Maya to fill. But, that's who her game reminds me of and the bar is high. I totally understand why Pat would be pissed, if she thought she had a chance at Maya. (Personally after seeing "Precious Moment" I don't know how a girl could say no to UCONN)

Some people just came along to early for the game, and Lynette is one of them. I recently had a chance to go through some of Lynette's highlight clips. Whoa!!! There's a lot of nice baller's out in the game now. But, LDUB was the iiiiiiisssssh! "BALLER ICON" indeed. I see a lot of LDUB in Maya's game. I'm looking forward to watching Lil' Wood, ball out.. Because, I came along too late to see and really appreciate the game of the legend they call "LDUB"

Props to Adrienne Goodson and SLAM for the nice article

Tayshaun Prince changed jerseys , to the delight of female fans

Snoop Dogg should never be caught rockin' a "Ike" in public. Tayshaun is running a very tight 2nd in that department. He so skinny, it looks like he hurt.

Peep the resume folks. The Real Deal. The most famous person she's ever met, is Geno. Hahahaha.... Needless to say. This "MONSTA" will be joining Maya Moore at UCONN... I think UCONN is set for a few years, now...

Just a "MONSTA"

INside Out....WOW.. Defensive "BEAST", I tell you... The Girl is a "MONSTA" Her game kinda reminds me of my favorite pro player. Not saying UCONN has gained a new fan. But, I gotta see this. I can't wait to see her in the NCAA.

Ok, so this is kind of a ad. But, still....This girl is a "MONSTA"

Fluff... Fun stuff to know about the nations #1 recruit

May cannot get here soon enough

Today I've come to the conclusion that my Miami Heat, officially SUCK. They lost to the New York Knicks, folks. THE KNICKS!! WTF!!! So, all you people texting me with messages, talkin' trash. I give up! You all got it , this season. Leave me alone.

They're still my team. But, I gotta wear the bag. Cuz, I don't want you to see my tears. This really hurts. As a fan, my NBA season is over. I can't participate in the usual fan banter TTT (trash talking texting). My season is over.

I'll be watching a lot of college basketball , in the next couple of weeks. Scouting out prospects. It looks like were going to be in the lottery.

How can a team with Shaq and D-Wade, suck SO hard? HELL IF I KNOW!! They just do.

I'm ready for the WNBA season to start, today. Go Comets and Lynx!!! (Who BTW, are both in the lottery too). So, I'll be checking out WNBA prospects, as well.

The Lynx have #3 and Comets #5 pick. So here's wish-list.

1. Fowles She should go #1 if Parker does not come out. Personally, I think Fowles(THA PROTOTYPE) is gonna be a pro stud. If it was my choice. I'd take her over Parker. She will one day be the most dominant post player in the WNBA. She's a blend of Shaq and Alonzo Mourning(two of my favs). I'd pick her over Parker. I want my center to be a enforcer ,not a finesse post.

2. Carson She's a tweener. But, I love a player with a high BBall IQ. I think she's smart enough to get in where she fits in.

3. Humphrey . This is a player I see fitting well with the Lynx. If Hayden aka Big V (but, I call her "Loch Nessa") not ready to go. Humphrey would compliment Ohlde's (Ole Dawg) game well. She's a PF who can hold it down in the post and step out and wet you up , from the outside.

4. Hornbuckle Her game reminds me a lot of Tot. She can board, handle the ball, and she's a finisher.

5. Larkins Good for a double - double. Plays a very good mental game.

A sleeper and a player I wanna check out in the tournament is Quianna Chaney.
