Looks like Youkilis questioned Manny on either not playing in the outfield or not doing enough in the brawl and Manny reacted and they had to be seperated.Coco charging the mound started the night before with the Rays Bartlett using his knee when Coco tried to steal, then Coco took out Iwamura on a hard slide, then the Rays manager had a shouting match with Coco during a visit to the mound. James Shields hitting Crisp capped it off and Gomes jumping on the pile throwing haymakers will keep the flame lit until these teams meet again.

Manny Ramirez became the 24th player in Major League history to hit 500 home runs. His homer helped the Red Sox to a 6-3 win over Baltimore.

Justin Masterson won his first game in his second major league start by holding the Royals to just one run in over six innings. The Royals have only scored one run in eighteen innings against the Red Sox.

Jon Lester pitched a good game but the Boston bullpen couldn't hold it and Jay Payton's grand slam gave Baltimore a 6-3 win as Boston lost their fourth in a row.

Josh Beckett was outpitched tonight by Baltimore's Mark Guthrie as the Red Sox offense and their starter were a little off. The Red Sox lost their third in a row and their hold on first in the AL East.

It was the ageless veteran Livan Hernandez giving up 10 hits but only 3 runs beating the rookie Clay Buchholz who gave up 7 runs on 8 hits. Minnesota took 3 out of 4 from Boston by hitting their starters hard and often.

Boston was down 7-1 in the third but in the ninth they were within a run of tying it when Joe Nathan threw out JD Drew at third and then got Manny Ramirez to groundout to end the game.

Dice K earned his sixth win of the year by only giving up two runs as the Red Sox offense backed him up with four solo home runs for a 5-2 win over the Twins.

Dice K was lucky enough to get his fifth win even though he walked 8 batters. Mike Lowell, Kevin Youkilis and Big Papi all homered in the win.

Mike Mussina and Johnny Damon both had great performances in a 6-1 win over Seattle.

The Red Sox scored more runs in tonight's game then they have in the last 5 games they've played combined. Clay Buchholz took care of the Rays by allowing just 1 run in the 5 innings he worked.
