Soccer Pride at its Finest

In America, unfortunately all of the sports pride is divided amongst big football hits and big basketball dunks. This leaves little to no enthousiasm of any kind to the sport of Soccer. Elsewhere, in other parts of the world, this is not the case. In a close game, the Tottenham ball-boy even shows pride for his home team.

With Greg Oden out for the 07-08 season, the Trailblazers are truly going to suffer in this enormous loss. But the good news for Oden is that he can find inspiration from fellow big-man Amare Stoudemire who had the same injury and came back stonger than he came in.

Old Memorable Basketball Barns Being Replaced by State-Of-The-Art Arenas

The old-school barns are being replaced by new arenas featuring sky-boxes and innovative architectural design. But are these revenue-creating monster arenas going to suffice as adequate replacements for the old barns? Are they going to be able to generate and maintain the same amount of energy that these historic landmarks once did? Who knows, but millions of dollars are being poured into the construction of these new home courts but I don't think they are going to transcend the same basketball "feel" that the old courts did.

Obama Lied About Playing College Hoops

After further investigation, Bethlehem Shoals emailed Oxy's head coach in an attempt to find out whether Obama did in fact play NCAA basketball. The head coach's return email proved that Obama may have played pre-season pick-up games but did not play during the regular season and definitely was not the leading scorer as he once claimed.

Even though this may not be too interesting for some of you, I think the return of Lindsay Davenport to the game of tennis is monumental. Her return will spark interest in tennis for all who have watched and followed this great talent in the past. I'm not sure if she ever technically announced her retirement, but she is back and I will be watching.
