I have never sat court side at an NBA game. Well, tonight that all changes team streetball will be watching the
Golden State Warriors play the
Dallas Mavericks. Last year the Warriors owned the Mavericks and shockingly knocked them out the playoffs in the first last year. However, things change the Warriors are 0-4 and the Mavericks come in with a chip on the shoulder. The last time I saw
Dirk Nowitzki he was on a recruiting visit to Stanford University. I of course said, "alright, another big man national championship here we come." Then our assistant coach Trent Johnson(currently Stanford Head Coach) said, "he plays shooting guard and small forward." My heart sank into my stomach and I knew my role as back up may be extended till I graduate. Fortunately for me he didn't like school and went on to the NBA. I will also have an opportunity to see two ex-rivals in
Jason Terry and
Baron Davis. Both are exciting, clutch, and athletic. This is going to be a great game and my excitement is already building for this court side extravaganza. It will be a heard fought battle based on the fact, Dallas needs to prove last year was a fluke, and Golden State needs to salvage the start of the season with a big win.
