Freaky Friday!!!

Was Friday a crazy day for the NFL or what!! Training camps opening, rookies signing million dollar deals, Brett saying he's going to GB's camp. My head can't take it all. Let's start with the story of the day.

#4:

Brett has decided to attend GB's training camp. Ok, that's the first move. Now will he stay? Is he doing this in hopes of being traded? Will GB put Rodgers back on the bench? Is Brett just missing the game and doesn't care if he's the backup? Ahhh! So many questions? I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. I can just imagine the chaos the press is going to have on at GB's camp. Dang!! GB has told Favre they don't want him back as a starting quarterback, yet they're acting as if they're terrified that he'll come back to haunt them as a Viking. It's going to be a long weekend. And when Monday comes, you better believe I'll be watching NFL Network all day. Anyone wanna place any bets on what's gonna happen???

Next up, the signing frenzy today!!! These are just a couple players I've been keeping my eye on.

1. The New York Jets signed defensive end/linebacker Vernon Gholston to a five-year deal worth $50 million, including $21 million guaranteed.

2. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed first-round pick Rashard Mendenhall (from U of I) to a five-year deal worth $12.555 million, including $7.125 million guaranteed.

3. The Arizona Cardinals agreed to a six-year contract with cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, from TSU baby!! Terms were not disclosed though. That's ok, I'm just glad to have someone reppin TSU. Especially after that whole incident with Moon. Has anyone heard about him lately? What's the deal?? Big L and Benny held it down for a while though. Let's not forget!!

The Cowboys finally decided to waive Terry Glenn. Good! I was getting tired of hearing him bitch. I used to be a fan of his, but lately, geez!! He didn't even play that much last season. The first freakin 15 games he sat out. The team stepped up and did fine without him. Jerry Jones wants to give some younger players an opportunity. That's great! Terry should've taken the $500k and kept it moving! Idiot!

So, what's the deal with Larry Johnson? He didn't participate much during mini-camp and during training camp he's not expected to do much there either. So that means the focus is going to be on Kolby Smith (remember that name), and Jamaal Charles. Which player will be LJ's backup? You already know it's gonna be Kolby baby!!. He did his thing last season when LJ got hurt. The team overall sucked, but there were indeed a few players that did a great job. Look at the rookies. Dwyane Bowe had an excellent rookie year. And Tank and Turk were on point. So maybe this year the team can get it together and show us what they really have!!

Oh! I want to make a correction about my previous blog. I said that Matt Forte wasn't signed nor at camp. What was I thinking? I was in Chicago when he got signed!! Anywho, someone at my job told me he hadn't been to the first day of camp so I just assumed contract issues. Dude probably got Forte and Hester mixed up! LOL! Oh well, I'll never listen to him again!

Well, I guess that's all for now. Today the Falcons officially begin training camp. I can't wait to go out and catch some of the practices over the next couple weeks. I'm so glad that added more public practices. Did you think I was going to sit at home and twiddle my thumbs hoping for 3-second glimpses and 10 second interviews of my new home team on the news. NEVER!! LOL!

Give Me More!!!!

I was thinking about Brett Favre again. So now GB wants to look at trade options. Get the hell outta here man! They didn't want to release him, but now they want to trade him. Figures!!! So where does he go? Minnesota, Tampa, Chicago. Nah, not Chicago. They don't have it together enough yet! LOL!

I say Brett should go to the Vikings, win a Super Bowl, and retire a Viking. Forget GB!! I guess first he has to decided if he's even going to come out of retirement. I say play one more year for 20 mill, and retire next year. I'm not ready to see him quit yet. Now don't get me wrong, there are a couple GB players that I love. But AP and the Vikings, well that's a different story. Ryan, you're great, but there's just something about AP when he's on that field.

Actually Da Bears can use some help in the QB department. Does Lovie go with Grossman or the rookie Kyle Orton? Hell, can they hurry up and sign Matt Forte!! He needs to be at camp. With no Thomas Jones or Cedric Benson, they need someone running the ball!! Hester's holding out and I don't blame him. Getting paid 445K is an insult. He's a beast on the field!! Da Bears lost a lot of vet players over the off season. I don't know how this season is going to turn out. Let's just say I won't be betting on them anytime soon! LOL!

Ok, so Jason Taylor finally got out of MIA. Whoopdie Doo! So now the Deadskins have another STAR PLAYER! Who's gonna take up more camera time? Jason or Clinton? LOL! I have to admit that Clinton does seem to have grown as a person. He may turn out to be ok after all.

Let's go back to KC really quick. I had planned to go out for a couple games to support my friend, but I don't know man. Let's see how the pre-season goes first. I hope all those draft pics work out! I really love Herm Edwards. As a coach and as a man. He's older and distinguished. I love it!! And Mr. Bowe, I love your video. You are hilarious! LOL!

Hmmm. Do I want to talk about any other team???? But of course! The Atlanta Falcons. This is indeed a rebuilding year. Am I biased? Just a little. ;) Anywho, what can I say? The team seems to be doing ok. There are still a few roster spots that need to be filled. They need to fill the starting Corner spot since De'Angelo is gone. Hopefully Antoine Harris will get it. During camp everything will get worked out hopefully. Coach Smith is getting good reviews. The team is doing more public appearances. And of course Mike and Matt Ryan are hearing it. Now Matt, yeah, he's gonna hear it. 72 mill!!! I still can't get over that one. I sure wish Vick would hurry up and come back. I bet I could sell my season tix for 5 times what I paid! LOL!

My boy asked me how ATL was responding to Michael. I think the city is slowly coming along. Warrick Dunn was an ATL favorite. So he has to prove himself worthy of the love. Hey! I'm his biggest ATL fan, so that's all that matters. LOL!

Well, I guess I'll get back to doing some work. I've been playing on this thing way too long.

Bye Brett! Hi Brett!!

So, what's the deal with Brett asking to be released? Speculation by everyone is growing by the second. Where will he go? What team will pay him the most? Hmmmmm. Now don't get me wrong, I'd love to see him play again. He's a great QB, and not bad to look at either! LOL! Although I've never skied the slopes before, if I met someone that looked like him, I just might! LOL! I think the Falcons should take back some of that money from Matt Ryan and give it to Brett. How are you gonna give 72 million to some kid straight outta school. His arm better be fya damn it!! I need the Falcons to win at least 8 games this season!! Geez!!

My First Post!!!!

Ok, so I finally got some time to write something on this thing. I have no idea where to start. I must say that I can't wait for the season to start. I've been watching arena ball and NFL Network like crazy. I never knew I could be addicted to football. I'm a newbie. I just became a true fan about 6 years ago when I began pharmacy school. I was in DC, went to a Redskins game with friends, and I fell in love! A lot of people think women love the game because of the men. Now don't get me wrong, there are some very attractive men in the league. But if I met a player, I'd probably ask him for an autographed jersey or something instead of his phone number! LOL! I'm actually quite leery about dating an athlete.

Hmmm, that's a good subject to talk about. If I ever wanted to date an athlete, how can I prove I'm a good person and not a bopper??????

I'm 30, no kids, great job, make over 120k a year, not too crazy, and I love football. Oh, and I think I'm kinda cute. LOL! So, if I meet someone, and I want to get to know him, what do I do? I don't want him to think I'm just getting with him cause he's a player. I don't want him to think of me as a jump off. I genuinely want to see what kind of man he is. Any advice from you athletes out there? I'd love to hear what you have to say.
