That #24, he can do it all! Normally, he hits up a storm for the Red Sox and plays balls off the Monster - but today, #24 pitched a scoreless inning in relief against the Twins, giving up just one hit and no runs. No, not that #24 - the other #24 (a/k/a Jonathan Papelbon, at least for today).

Your day is not complete until you've read a thorough dissection of the Red Sox fashion choices during their White House visit yesterday. There were enough pinstriped suits to costume an episode of the Sopranos, Bobby Kielty looked like a shop teacher stuck in the '70s, and David Ortiz carried what looks suspiciously like a MAN PURSE.

Watching the Red Sox get sized for their shiny new World Series rings is fairly cool - especially the new rooks. But Jason Varitek decides he wants his 2007 ring to go on his toe. Full video included.

Dustin Pedroia has a long memory, and he definitely remembers last April when his batting average was sub-Mendoza and Gary Tanguay (of Comcast Sports Net) declared Dustin to be in a "slump." Last week , Dustin struck back in his own special way. High-quality video of Dustin teeing-off on Gary's face included.

Mike Lowell, Dustiin Pedroia & Kevin Youkilis battled it our for ping pong supremacy on Thursday on Comcast. Of course they did -- who needs wind sprints and conditioning drills when there's ping pong to be played? Full video of the Ping Pong tourney included - WITH SOUND, and higher quality than the other video that is circulating.
