Willie 'splains all

He's got no reason to b.s. any of this. Minaya may have had his own neck on the line by the Wilpon brain trust, and the whole thing may have been breaking his heart, but that Willie had to drag his own firing out of him was lame.

I heard Minaya on "Mike & the Mad Dog" and he claimed that the whole firing was not pretty, but it was pretty much the way he wanted it to go down. Which means he was (or was forced to) sticking up for the Dolans.. er, Wilpons. Which still means "F-kole" since Met management (once again) couldn't see the bigger picture, and embarrassed the s#it out of themselves once more.

It would've been great to see him managing the All Star Game in the Bronx. I woulda actually watched it this year.

Sorry Willie, here hoping the next job is a goody and it comes soon.

Watch your back Jerry, the emperor is naked as hell.

Behold!! The Future of Sports (and the only way to make soccer remotely interesting).

Best quote: "I was supposed to hold the balls but I really have no idea how to do that," said German goalkeeper Jana Bach.

Chad's going in for surgery on BOTH ankles!

I'm happier everyday that Coach Andy didn't give in, and followed his sizable gut on this one.

Things are sharply turning in our favor after all these non-moves (even if they were never really out of our favor).

Samuel's tweaked a bit, AND we still have Lito.

I smell a great season a-comin.

Just Askin: Do We Get Down With "Soul" Fans?

I mean, I'd like to have some solidarity. But AFL games just don't keep me entertained. It's like watching basketball, and not football.

(If the NBA was run by NASCAR)

But if they win this Arena Bowl, do we as Eagles fans give them props?

Do we even notice?

Jaws is the team president, does that give them cred?

Who the hell ok's these programing schedules!?

This doesn't even need a link, and its all something we can bark about. I'm not even interested in the Boston v. LA Finals, but its a blatant an example of the screwjob we fans have to deal with from these dorks at the networks.

That said; Why is game one on thursday & game two waaaaaaay down on f'n sunday?

Let the players have off on friday, and kick game two on saturday. Which is a way better night for viewers (especially the kids, dammit).

You cannot even argue that sunday night gets you more viewers than saturday.

Its almost as bad as the MLB playoffs sched, and the world series at 8pm eastern.

But not nearly as bad as the MLB blackout restrictions. Those are brilliant, I can't watch the game i want via the Extra Innings package, or online but i can listen to the radio feed?

Has Avant been overlooked?

He showed up last year. His first full year with a 95% healthy McNabb.

Could he break it out in '08? Good hands & speed at 6 foot, 212lbs or so?

Stranger things have happened.

BARK!!

True Story

You gotta give it up to 'The Onion'. They truly are the masters of the skewer.

There's a little "under the radar" quality happening here.

I have a feeling this acquisition will turn out to be a coup for Andy eventually. Book could definitely keep B-West in fresh legs throughout the game, as well as, the length of the season.

We may even see a return to that "3-headed monster" RB scheme from a few years back; (B-West, Booker, & Hunt?).

Think of the migraines they could gave other coaches on third down.

What youse think?

Looks like Dallass is back. Circa 1980s-90s, anyway.

Irvin, Lett, Harvey Martin, Bob Hayes, "Hollywood" Henderson, and now Hambrick.

No wonder these fools loved gameday, what with all those white lines on the field.

At least Nate Newton was different, all he saw was grass.

Oh, THAT huge sucking noise...

I wonder if he's gonna throw Flav under the bus after the episode airs.
