The Angels are willing to deal one of there Nick Adenhart in a deal that would include Matt Holliday Mark Teixeira. The A's are willing to move starter Joe Blanton who is locked up trough 2010. The Cubs contacted the Padres about aquiring Khalil Greene.The Braves reportedly offered a deal that would move Teixeira to Boston and in return the Braves would get Kevin Youkilis and Craig Hanson. The Pirates are interested in a Ross Olendorf in a trade that would most likley include Xavier Nady and/or Damasco Marte and other Yankees prospects.

Atlanta trading for Greg Maddux is a deal that is unlikley to happen. The Tigers are unlikley to trade for big players before the Trading Deadline. The rumor of the Twins aquiring Adrian Beltre is getting hotter but it is not sure how far these discusions will go. Joe Blanton is getting a lot of interest considiring his sub par season. Count on the Yankees to make a run at reliever Brian Fuentes. The Cards and D-Backs are the frontrunners for the Jason Bay deal.

I think they should make a bench player of the year award. There have been so many players through the years who have tooken over for injured players during the season and also for pinch hitting off the bench in the clutch and for average. I think players like that should be honored for doing that. This award will go to an NL players and a AL players and they will have to play between a 20 games and 125 games(I know catchers dont play a lot of games).

The tallest player in baseball reliever Jon Rauch is drawing interest from the Rays,Redsox and D-Backs. The Phillies have little interest in trading for starter A.J. Burnett and the Phillies are on Burnetts 15 team no trade list in his contract. The Angels are not interested in aquiring Matt Holliday but the Dodgers,Redsox are still intersted, even the Nationals are interested. The Yankees are interested in aquiring Xavier Nady from the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Yankees are thinking about signing newly free agent first basemen Richie Sexson. The Angels are the newest team interested in aquiring Rockies relief pitcher Brian Fuentes. Arizona Diamondbacks are interested in aquiring former D-Back 1B Tony Clark from the Padres. The D-Backs or the Cardinals seem like the most likely place Jason Bay will go because they have the prospects the Pirates want. A New York Met fan is planning to sue the city for 5.5 million dollars. The man James Falzon was sitting with his son and nephew when he was struck by the broken bat of Mets second baseman Luis Castillo. He was sent to the hospital with massive bleeding and had plates and pins in his body. I say you know the risks and dont sue if you are a real fan you would not do that.
